Jupiter (truth) ~conjunct~ Uranus (liberation):
These two energies coming together tends to bring expansion (Jupiter) and radical change (Uranus) on social and collective levels, which naturally affects us as individuals too. Their combined power generally expands your awareness so that the parameters you have been working within (personally or professionally) suddenly feel confining and you crave immediate change. Don’t be too hasty and at the same time, recognize that *if* you are truly ready to break old patterns and routines which have grown stale, then this energy will assist you on multiple levels. Keep your personal freedom in mind, but do not shirk your responsibilities in the process or you could find your Self in worse conditions than those that you are trying to escape. With your expanded awareness, you may branch out beyond your personal boundaries and dive in to the social realms to make a bigger contribution, perhaps fighting for the rights and freedoms of others. You can also tune in and find yourself having breakthroughs that have thus far eluded you ~ be ready! No matter how you slice it, these two getting together is initiating a *new* Truth ~ a *new* Story ~ and bringing you in contact with the possibility of a *new* Path! Pay attention and choose wisely.

Now, we add to the mix, Pisces/Aries ~ Ending/New Beginning ~ Womb-to-Birth ~ Completion/Initiation ~ from one, watery, (possibly) dark, completely-provided for ... state of Being ... to a very different, fiery, bright, completely new you're-on-your-own ... state of Being. Sensitivity ~ Instincts ~ both valuable and both subject to imbalances. As Jupiter & Uranus move from Pisces to Aries, so too, directly across the sky, Saturn moves from Virgo to Libra and contributes to the current activation. Jupiter (Truth), Saturn (Purpose) and Uranus (Freedom) ... Social Justice ~ Social Structure ~ Collective Liberation ~ by being responsible ~ able to respond ~ committed ~ and awake, we can move in to this new territory confident that all we need, desire and deserve is and always will be provided. If you are co-creating with these energies, and especially if you have any Aries/Libra and/or Cancer/Capricorn in your chart, then the next 3 years are vital to anchoring much larger cycles that will fortify, nurture and protect you going forward. The Cycles you should tune in to are 1-year; 2-year and 7-year and consider that all three overlap for the first 3 ~ Trinity energy is very useful to tune in to when initiating ANYTHING.

Uranus in ARIES ~ 2010-2018

Uranus is entering Aries for the first time since 1926-1934. It will Retrograde back through the end of Pisces to complete not only its 7-year Cycle through Pisces (2003-2010) but also Uranus' 84-year Cycle through the entire zodiac. Uranus' Cycle is approximately 84 years to make it thru all 12 Signs, spending approximately 7 years in each sign. It also has 4 major activations during that cycle, which happen every 21-years, when we are all tested on the Uranus material. It is, after all, known as The Great Awakener!

This next year (2010-2011) will be a *PROCESS* of Endings & New Beginnings on Personal, Social and Collective levels. Basically, this first Retrograde of the *new* cycle is about *Completion* of the Pisces plus the whole 84-year Cycle. During each Retrograde period every year, we will all get a chance to go within and PROCESS all that this energy is stirring up, loosening our grip on old, worn-out patterns and awakening each of us to the innate urge to be truly free.

During this very first step in to Aries, I think it is extremely noteworthy that Uranus will spend May 27 - Aug 13, 2010 at *ZERO* Degrees Aries ~ Zero Point of Infinite Possibilities!

We will dive in to only the *Introduction* of this energy and cycle this June, however, we will get together at critical points in the future to gather inspiration and clarity. This is a major opportunity to *REVIEW & RELEASE* old patterns which are blocking ... and *INITIATE* new patterns of true freedom, unity and the inevitable *new* Earth.

Relevant Reflection ~

It is useful to review Uranus' move through Pisces because Aries ~ was then (1926-1934) and is now (2010-2018) ~ a *RESPONSE* to the previous cycle. The old saying, "those who do not know their history, are doomed to repeat it" comes to mind. If you can see any Personal, Social or Collective *patterns* that you think could benefit from a clean slate / re-birth, then tune in and contribute your energies in that direction.

Uranus in Pisces last happened during the 'Roaring 20s', when people were simultaneously restricted by material limitation, yet liberated through a truly unique creative expression (jazz exploded), women were emancipated (on one level, by the 'equal pay legislation'), rebellion (against prohibition), many technologies became commonplace (primarily cars, but TV, radio etc), the Harlem Renaissance and many more radical shifts in our expanding Global Community let us know a re-structuring was inevitable and most necessary. And here we are again, with similar issues on the table, but on a grander scale.

Jupiter in *ARIES* initiates a brand *NEW* 12-year Cycle! You can/will improve your *Independence* and initiate a NEW Truth and a NEW Story. If 12 years is too much to wrap your brain around, I would encourage you to think in terms of 3-year *increments*. The Trinity energy is very powerful and when working with Jupiter, you are being exposed to an expanded awareness of a *larger* Truth of which you are an integral part. It is vital to work with this entity when you are consciously co-creating the Truth & Story of your own life.

Gemini 2010 ~ Cultivating Your Authentic Voice

The truth is that our finest moments

are most likely to occur when we are feeling

deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled.

For it is only in such moments,

propelled by our discomfort,

that we are likely to step out of our ruts

and start searching for ...

different ways or truer answers.

Searching for "different ways" (Gemini) or "truer answers" (Sagittarius) ... May I remind you that as a "human" you are dual by nature (Gemini) ... and so much MORE! (Sagittarius) Add "human" to "being" and now you are *multi-dimensional*. I find it far more useful these days to look at the energies AND their polar opposites to get a more balanced understanding of what I am experiencing. And beyond that, I notice, I've been reminding people almost constantly that "life has become an 'AND' ... not an either/or". You have to multi-task to get ANYTHING accomplished and/or completed these days. Why is that? Because, you are SIMULTANEOUSLY: dying and being born anew; leaving the past behind and moving toward an unknown future; releasing and acquiring on a multitude of levels. You, my multi-dimensional friend, have many layers to your being which are being activated and/or shifted in dramatic and permanent ways.

Gemini time is the *approach* of the 6-month mark of the year and Summer Solstice, just as its polar opposite, Sag, is the *approach* of the culmination of the year at Winter Solstice. At this stage, we are still gathering information that will (hopefully) translate into Sag's wisdom come the completion of this annual cycle. Every year around Gemini time, several planets retrograde (appear to pull back, slow down or reverse altogether) indicating it is time to 'gather information' to make better decisions upon forward movement in a month or two. At this time, multiple aspects of our individual and collective lives require that we 'check-in' and 'assess' where we are, how far we've come and just how much further we have to go. Review the last 6 months so you can make any necessary adjustments for the upcoming 6 months, in the hopes of getting something worthwhile accomplished by year's end. At the half-way mark of any cycle you are given a choice ~ an opportunity to choose differently based on the experiences and information you've gathered thus far. So, how is 2010 shaping up for you? (Can you believe it is half over already?) Are you moving in the direction you want to be moving in? *NOTE* Summer and Winter Solstices are potent times of the year every year, they fall in Cancer / Capricorn every year, however, 2009-2011 also brings the Cancer/Capricorn Eclipses. Your frame of reference for this Cycle will be 1988-1992 and 1998-2002. It is highly useful to work the Gemini/Sag Lunar and Solar energies each year, even more vital at this time.

Gemini energy brings to mind: change, duality, choice(s) to make, fork in the road or crossroads, and of course, transition. Gemini is ruled by Mercury, which moves along side the Sun in its travels through the sky so it is easiest to catch a glimpse of Mercury during dusk and dawn, when the Sun's light is coming or going. These are the two times a day also often recommended for meditation as the veils are thinner and COMMUNICATION is easier between the visible and invisible realms. Additionally, dusk and dawn also represent that potent in-between stage that transition represents. We stand at this zero-point of possibilities.

Transition originally meant "going across or over" ... as in changing from one state of form or being to another. What is powerful about this is not in the 'being here or there', but in being PRESENT wherever you are. If you are consciously participating in life, then this is a potent time for you. However, if you are overwhelmed and your systems are on overload, you are going to short-circuit and most likely have to go down, before you can go back up and function effectively.

This month you will have to take many deep breaths to maintain your equilibrium. The pressure is intense and the speed of which information is coming at you, is continuing to increase. Always keep in the back of your mind, if you cannot control it, release it to the Universe ... and if you CAN control it, then this (whatever is activating your "control" or "survival" buttons) is just a reminder to inhale back your own authority and your personal power to choose ... your power to change your mind and thus, your circumstances. In the instant you commit to your choice, change can occur. Because it is Gemini time, I am inclined to think most of us have some major decisions to make which are going to require us to choose between two (or more) distinctly different paths. These paths are going in such new and different directions, that you can no longer 'straddle the fence' or 'serve two masters' ... you will HAVE to choose.

Sagittarius (wisdom) helps Gemini (intelligence) make meaning out of the information coming through at this time. Right now, all SIX of your senses are being bombarded with information. How are your "filtering" systems working these days? We need to activate our "human spam box" where all non-relevant info should go automatically. Your main task at this time is sorting through all this information. You will know the Truth when you come across it because it will speak to you on a soul level and you will be compelled to act on that new knowledge.

These are not "small" or "easy" aspects of life to undergo such a major transition. HONOR THAT FACT by taking the time to review how you have expressed yourself up to now ... and reflect on how you want to express your Self going forward.

Who have you led your Self (and others) to believe you were (over the last 6-12 yrs)?
Who are you today?
What parts of you are solid and structurally sound?
Which parts of you are completely worn out and need to be released or recycled?

Use the current Full Moon in Sagittarius to release anything that is no longer part of your personal Story and all that is no longer "true" for you and then, plant your seeds at the New Moon in Gemini ~ take a deep breath and express your Self in a whole new way. The story of your life is not done yet. You can still choose to "edit" and change the next chapter any way your soul leads you to. Open your mind and heart this month and connect with your Authentic Voice in order to express your deepest Truth. Pay close attention, activate your filters for this particular flow of information. Some will be Divine Truth, some will be petty distraction, delaying you on your Path. It is a NEW day, and like it or not, you will have to make some (seemingly) daunting choices that will determine your course (path) over the upcoming 6-12 months and 6-12 years. Backwards is not an option, and even if it were, all that used to be back there is gone / done / over / completed anyway. So you can CHOOSE - or you can get dragged - but either way, you're going (to the next level). Actually you're already there but some people are holding on to the door as it closes on their fingertips.

It really depends on what you want to create and what you want to be a part of for the remainder of this lifetime. If you are comfortable with the "light and airy" aspects of this Gemini season, then enjoy them because this is the best time of year for creative exchange of ideas; use social situations to learn (and teach) and share information, you have more options than you think. INVITE COLLABORATION AND UNITY ~ look for circumstances that your individual personality and skill set is *valued*.

On the other hand, if you have some heavy duty choices to make at this time, solitude is probably better. Tuning in around the Full and New Moons, dusk and dawn, the turn of each Sacred Season, when the channels of communication are wide open, invites the Invisible Assistance. Ask the questions, be still and the answers will come ... then you must be prepared to accept a NEW Truth.

Chiron Enters *PISCES* ~ 2010-2018

CHIRON: The Wounded Healer

Without darkness

Nothing comes to birth,

As without light

Nothing flowers.

Chiron, the Wounded Healer energy is the wound we come in to heal, individually (your personal chart) and collectively (up in the sky) we move through each Sign in the zodiac during the course of a 50-year Cycle. The *A-Ha* Moment that many experience by/around the age of 50. Chiron's mythology is very interesting, as he was known for consciously choosing death, and in this case, his journey through Aquarius suggests that community and individuals' special gifts / healing abilities have all been undergoing a major healing and transformation (2005-2010). Allowing the ego-based, separatist thinking to die so that a rebirth of communal living and honoring of all living things can re-emerge. This is micro-to-macro, yes on a collective level we are definitely going through this, but on an individual level, can you make the connection to:

If/How you have ...

Separated from your Self and other human beings?

Forgotten what is special about you?

What it feels like to be part of a group energy?

Chiron has been working through many of these Aquarius/Leo issues for the last couple of years and it turns out that almost all of that 5+ years, Chiron would Retrograde during Gemini time and go Direct during Scorpio time. This suggests to me that a review of our thoughts, ideas and expression (Gemini) of community and alternative ways of living (Aquarius) were concerned. And after that review, and subsequent healing within, emerges during Scorpio time ready to plant seeds at such a potent time for creating just such a global community which supports the vital life force of ALL living beings. Scorpio energy assists in activating what needs to be purified, healed and RELEASED (wounds must be cleaned before they can heal and disappear), plunging us in to the Underworld, to be stripped of all ego machinations, humbling us - and hopefully healing us individually and collectively - to come back up to the surface clean, pure and ready to plant healthy new seeds that will nourish humanity for a long time to come.

It is still on the above schedule as it moves in to *PISCES*. And I remind you that it will Retrograde back and forth through the END of Aquarius and the BEGINNING of Pisces, extending a natural *GRACE* period of adjustment to the new energetic vibration. During the 5+ year period in Aquarius, for the collective, we realized or remembered that *either/or* serves no one, all Spirit-all the time ~ and you are no longer grounded ... all reality-all the time ~ and you are no longer free. The during the 8+ year period in Pisces. We must practice Higher Consciousness in our daily (Pisces), mundane, 3-D world (Virgo), making it practical and useful for the entire community. Use tools properly (3-D/Saturn), access Spirit (Consciousness/Uranus) regularly and honor all living beings.

As it moves through Pisces during 2010-2018, your frame of reference will be 1960-1968. A greater sensitivity is available now, a completion of a 50-year Cycle is upon us and we must navigate carefully in preparation for *Initiation* in to Aries next. This *sensitivity* is a mixed blessing. On one hand, you can be overwhelmed by the information you are "sensing" from a multitude of sources and if your Virgo-Filter is not clean and engaged to *sort and sift* what is relevant and useful information, you could drown in confusion. On the other hand, if you practice daily (Virgo) feeling ONE with the Universal energy and flow (Pisces), then you could access a very deep reservoir of knowledge and understanding.

It is time to work with your intuitive capacity and hone it so that it can serve you during this Earthly transition. And remember, Chiron activates the WOUND so it can draw your attention to the HEALING. So at first, many will feel open and vulnerable, which can make you feel the need to protect your Self, and in piling on whatever layers of protection you think you need, you LOSE TOUCH with your ability to "sense" things around you. Body - Buildings - Energy Fields - whatever you 'surround' your Self with as 'protection', when excessive or imbalanced, can block necessary, incoming energy and information. Until you find a balance and understanding of WHAT you are sensing, you may struggle to connect to God/Spirit/Oneness/BLISS (that is essential to your nature).

Chiron's Schedule ~
Chiron takes about 51 years to move through all 12 signs, and has an extremely erratic orbit where it spends much more time in a handful of signs (Aries/Taurus and Aquarius/Pisces) and very little (comparatively) in all other signs. This speaks to what I always say about Pluto's transformative energy as it too has an erratic orbit - that transformation (Pluto) and healing (Chiron) "takes as long as it takes" and neither will be boxed in to a formula that we linear-thinking humans can define, control or set our own clock to. Both occur in Divine Time and Order and all we can really do is attempt to co-create with the energies available and allow the process to run its course, making new choices along the way. Also note, that when Chiron moves through the END & BEGINNING of the zodiac, it affects the LARGEST POPULATION for quite a length of time. The current evolution begins with Aquarius (2005) and will be intense for most of us through Taurus (2034).

Chiron orbits between Saturn (our physical reality) and Uranus (Higher Consciousness) which also suggests that you must HEAL the connection (bridge) between these two vital aspects of your being. This is the first step to integrating your human and spirit selves, which is absolutely necessary to expand your consciousness (Neptune), transmute your karmic patterns (Pluto) and reach Higher Consciousness (Uranus). You have to go through Chiron to get to any of that! Wherever Chiron is in your personal chart is the healing you incarnated to do and that which you will automatically teach by your life's example.

Mini Chiron History ~
Chiron has also been associated with Sagittarius because of the centaur connection, but that only speaks further to the integration of the physical (Saturn) and spiritual (Uranus) natures within us. Traditionally, Mercury is said to rule Virgo, however, while I believe there are some definite Mercurial qualities to Virgo, I believe Chiron is the true ruler of Virgo, a more complete expression, because it is the HEALER (total Virgo/High Priestess energy) and is well known for his mastery of herbalism, acupuncture, massage, homeopathy, chiropractic and all alternative healing modalities. Additionally, Chiron was discovered (brought in to our conscious awareness) in 1977 when these modalities all really anchored in the collective consciousness and became more widely accepted and practiced. Still under the explosion of connections of Chiron on the collective, the next year, 1978, The Native American Religious Freedom Act was passed which allowed American Indians, Eskimos and Native Hawaiians to practice their earth-based wisdom and healing practices (Virgo is an earth sign) speaks to the practical application of Spirit in everyday life. These people infused Spirit in to ALL ASPECTS OF LIFE.

... and DEATH which brings me to another example of Chiron in our world, choosing death consciously, of your own free will. In mythology, Chiron lived for centuries and had the full spectrum of experiences (gods and humans) with the exception of death. He had been wounded and he suffered (like we all do) until he asked to be released from the body, a wish that was granted. So essentially, he CHOSE to walk in to the Underworld, fearless and willing to sacrifice his life for the greater good. What within you needs to be sacrificed for your own greater good and ultimate evolution? (His death released Prometheus, the Bringer of Light.) From the darkness, comes Light. From death, comes new life. Struggle is futile, going willingly UNLOCKS the magic!

Taurus 2010 ~ The Garden of Life

Put simply, state of mind,
not material circumstances,
creates your states of harmony,
assurance and comfort.
Put simplest, with a few adjustments,
you can bloom spiritually
right where you're planted.

Taurus/Scorpio energy brings awareness of your deepest values, renewal of your priorities and access to the power to co-create your world. Taurus time (April/May) and the Taurus New Moon are the annual opportunities to seed the *Garden* of your life ... while Scorpio time (Oct/Nov) and the Scorpio Full Moon bring the annual gifts of power, magic and purification. Working consciously with these energies gives you a chance to truly ground your Highest intentions and bring them in to 'form' to serve the greater good, which will attract blessings beyond your wildest imagination ... *IF* you maintain integrity and DO THE WORK! Earth energy requires getting real ~ getting serious ~ and getting dirty! It is a chance to co-create, contribute and allow Great Spirit to breathe life in to the seeds you plant at this time.

This year, the Scorpio Full Moon (4/28) precedes the Taurus New Moon (5/13) indicating that a clearing and/or release is necessary before planting the seeds of the new. As we clear karmic debris, we create a space where it is clean and clear and ready for the fresh and new to be planted, built or brought in. Taurus/Scorpio energies teach us about the willing sacrifices we make for that which we truly value, as well as the lesson of hard work rewarded. This is the time when I remind people that seeds germinate in the darkness. The Taurus/Scorpio energy perfectly illustrates the relationship between the seeds developing below the Earth's surface, to produce a physical, tangible result (eventually) above the Earth's surface. So realigning your values and priorities within (Taurus) will help you create tangible results with power and magic (Scorpio). In that regard, it is also important to remain disciplined and focused. There is no time for petty distractions or silliness when you want concrete results. Time is of the essence for planting and nurturing what you want to grow in your life. This is time to do the work, get involved and create!

You have some additional assistance this year. Venus (values/priorities), Mercury Retrograde (review of ideas, thoughts, concepts) and the Sun (identity/Source) all make it in to Taurus prior to the Full Moon in Scorpio, which precedes the New Moon in Taurus, facilitating a clarification and clearing. This is an indication that you must do the internal/energetic work before you can produce the external/physical results. The Scorpio Full Moon will shine a light on the entanglements which are cutting off life-force energy, like a plant whose roots have outgrown the container and begin to choke the plant to death. The Scorpio Full Moon will help you do some pruning and release the aspects of your life which have grown toxic or are no longer "alive". These values (Venus), ideas (Mercury) and aspects of your identity (Sun) are no longer viable and need to be cleared away to make room for what *IS* healthy and taking root to expand, while also creating space for new seeds to be planted.

What are you growing? What is not thriving in your *Garden* and may need to be reconsidered? Can you create better conditions? What is or is not worth cultivating? Take this time to reflect as you move through Spring Cleaning and organize your *Garden* ~ planting the seeds, watering them and infusing the *Garden* with prayers for healthy growth and fruitfulness. Use this month to redefine what you value and what you are willing to invest your precious resources of time, energy and money in ~ to ensure a healthy, beautiful, self-sustaining, and comfortable world. You are probably working on many different things you would like to grow and blossom in your world at this time. And as in a garden, each requires certain care to grow and maintain. This is the time you ground your intent and commit to steady, consistent efforts that produce results over time.

One final thought ... anything you create, you are responsible for (also known as the 'ability to respond'), so check out the origination of the word RESPOND: Latin ~ From respondere: re- "back" + spondere "to pledge" / "respond, answer to, promise in return". *Spring* Equinox ~ Vernal Equinox ~ Ostara ~ Around March 20th each year, we have the third of *8* Sacred Seasons ~ *INITIATING* a Renewal of Life & Light, Re-Birth and Resurrection. Vital energies and resources are now more readily available. It's time to plant seeds and initiate projects that will show promise by *Fall* Equinox. It is the first re-balancing of the Light, coming from predominantly Internal/Dark/Shadow/Fallow time and returning to an External/Light/Fertile time. Spring & Fall represent *Balance* and *Increase*, equal Light & Darkness, equal Day & Night. Sunrise and Sunset are *always* the best time to meditate as the veils between realms are thinner making clear communing easier and more productive. A non-doer is very often a critic.

This 6-week period covers ALL of Aries and initiates Taurus. It is a potent time for internal renewal and external new beginnings! The Creative Spark of Life (Aries) and the work of Cultivating Beauty and Value (Taurus) are what this Sacred Season is all about. The Re-Birth of Spring permeates all life (in this hemisphere), we experience a brief moment of *balance* between light and shadow before moving with the increasing light and life that Summer brings. This is your *Initiation* time ~ reborn from the ashes of the past year ~ on to a clean slate, fresh new canvas ~ what will you create this year? It's time to take full responsibility for your life, what you create and how your energy affects the world around you. Aries rules *Independence* and being self-sufficient during this time of global shift is more important than ever. It's taking on a much deeper meaning this year, in that, so many things that used to "work", no longer work; structures that used to support are no longer viable; support that used to be available is not as easily accessed at this time.

The personal planets travel through the zodiac at various speeds, stimulating each Sign in succession, the order of which varies according to their speed and direction as well. For some time now, Venus has been leading the way, suggesting that we much first clarify the priorities and assess the worth and value of intended actions. Then Mercury comes in and says, "OK, you now know what's important to you, let's explore the possible range of that!" and ideas start bubbling within your consciousness, others offer their unsolicited perspectives, a dialogue begins. And finally the Sun joins them, in this case, illuminating the Aries/Libra dynamic, with emphasis on Aries: New Beginnings, Rebirth & Renewal (the emphasis is on Libra in Sept/Oct each year). As soon as we initiate this year (March 20th), we have a couple of weeks to anchor the new identity, the new idea, the new relationship or project before the above "order" shifts (because of Mercury's Retrograde). Just do it!! Get moving - get started!! Sometimes, that's the hardest part - but NOT usually during this particular annual window of time. Taking calculated risks (on faith) and implementing well-thought-out plans (with optimism) is completely supported, you need only be prepared to improvise along the way as things do not often match the vision in our heads but that shouldn't stop you from creating or having a vision to begin with. Be open to *NEW* forms. Tune in to *Essence*. Allow for evolution to unfold.

Plant the seeds of a new year, new cycle and new *YOU* and prepare for Mercury's upcoming review in Taurus (we'll get to that a little later). For now consider that this month (March 20 - April 20) the Pluto in Capricorn ~ transforming reality ~ is going to feel very personal, pushing everyone out of comfort zone, in to new territory. Work with it! Don't fight it. Determine what you MOST want to transform about your individual Self and open to the many possible outcomes if you were to successfully transform that particular aspect of Self. If you were to completely change on a fundamental level, what you and your life look like? more importantly, what would they *feel* like? After we get through the initial shock of re-birth, (rest and replenish before next big move) we can then activate Taurus and begin exploring those feelings and new sensations. Practice *feeling* whole and protected and happy and centered and *ALIVE*. Taurus energy pushes us to tune in to our physical world and create with our own hands, something both useful and beautiful. Taurus energy turns Aries fiery enthusiasm in to a smoldering passion that will last longer and create something much more tangible and lasting. If you're paying attention, you too can adjust the *flame* as needed: are you in fiery, idea-mode or are you ready to cook that in to something yummy?

Aries is the Athlete and there is no other sign so *physical* as Taurus, so this whole season is tremendously supportive of working on your physical structure and/or stabilizing 3-D in some way. Devote some time to speed, endurance, strength and flexibility. Use this Sacred Season to improve the balance and stability of your Being, your life and your environment. Reflect on the last couple of months and the Mars Retrograde in Leo, what have you discovered about 'who you are' (on a core, essential level) and 'what you want' (deep in your heart)? The chance to re-work your desires occurs with Mars every 2 years, so if you get in rhythm with it, creating what you want (Mars rules your desire nature) gets a rhythm to it too and you become much more effective in shorter amounts of time. Use the information revealed to determine the next 90-days. Keep in mind this quarter is tremendously potent and sets the tone for the entire year. Use the first *3* Lunations to clear a space (Full Moon) for the *new* to take root (New Moon) ~ set your intentions ~ do your rituals ~ stay alert and listen for guidance along the way.

This Sacred Season is about *Initiation* ~ activity, growth and expansion. It's about activating vital life-force energy and being surprised by what ultimately blossoms. *NOTE* ~ ALL direct connections between Mercury (your voice) and the Sun (your identity) this year coincide with the Mercury Retrograde periods, which is an indication that re-viewing your thoughts, ideas and concepts of who you are ~ getting more practical and grounded ~ is all being stimulated this year. In between Retrogrades, they will connect in Pisces (March) and Cancer (June) which is an additional indication that *feelings* are communicating with you as well. Look for the messages and do some processing in between because this will be just as important as the Retrograde work. If you do well on the re-view, then the direct motion should support following your feelings and intuition because theoretically, you've gotten multiple perspectives and gained more clarity. This Sacred Season will be initiating on so many levels. The *Integration* that Oppositions bring is vital. With such larger themes of renewal, this time would be best served anchoring your *new* identity and priorities, while maintaining healthy boundaries and taking things one step at a time. Saturn is the common denominator here, the planet of boundaries, limitations and structure. These are not necessarily bad things until they are in excess, then they become blockages, delays and stagnation. All is widely available so watch your choices on how you navigate this time. Saturn is Retrograde, for these current activations, doing the overlapping work of completing Virgo (healing the structure/creating a new system) and initiating Libra (recalibrating relationships and responsibilities).

So ~ in the first activation between Sun (Identity/Source) in Aries (Independence/New Beginning) and Saturn Retro in Libra (Balance/Reciprocity), you get an opportunity to review your commitments ~ both to your Self and to others. This coincides with Spring Equinox, initiating a completely new year and this initiates the Saturn 2+ year process through Libra. This sets the tone for the on-going work of your independence within the context of relationships (Aries/Libra) ~ how your renewed Identity (Sun/Aries) is automatically shifting the Balance, Reciprocity and the Reality of your Relationships (Saturn Rx/Libra). It's time to re-think and ultimately, re-negotiate the terms of your commitments. We want responsibilities we are glad to take on because we care about what we are contributing to and release the obligations that are weighty with other people's baggage. 3/21 ~ Sun in Aries / Saturn Retro in Libra ~ Fire/Air

Later in the Season, April 26th, we have the 4th (of 5) activations between Saturn and Uranus. This is the final contact (for 42+ years anyway) on the Virgo/Pisces axis (final polarity) which is an indication that the Virgo/Pisces work is somehow vital to initiating the Aries/Libra work and the new cycle. This is a Social and Collective Activation that will *ping* everyone 5 times over a 2-year period (2008-2010) and it made me think of the "5-Act Structure" of a theatrical performance. Our initiation was Nov 4, 2008 (US Election Day) and we have two more in 2009, February and September; with the final two in 2010, April and July.

Saturn in Virgo Oppose Uranus in Pisces, which is going to have FIVE exact hits (3 is 'normal') over the next 2 years, anchoring then next 40+ years. These are two energies that get together like this every (approx) 42 years (half of the Uranus 84yr cycle) and they shake up our fundamental foundations and structures to bring in new life, new energy, new ideas and new directions. I highly recommend consciously working with the *3* Lunations of this Sacred Season: Spring Equinox ~thru~ Summer Solstice as they will also prepare you for the Cancer/Capricorn Eclipses of June/July. Keep in mind too that the Cross Quarters in between are intense and potent times to check in on your progress (Taurus/Scorpio). The mid-point of this Season is around May 1st and sometimes referred to as Beltane.

This protracted period in these two Signs has been perfecting *YOU*. Leo is the lesson of Self-Love and Virgo is the lesson of Trust, both of which need to be mastered before moving to Libra, when you start interacting with others. Vesta is the aspect of fire and sexuality which *Creates* ~ a most potent force to work with. It is Sacred and should be expressed with care and consideration. In this case, knowing who you are (Leo) and how Sacred that is ... and knowing that your on-going contribution is the daily practice of mindfulness and order (Virgo) and how Sacred that is ... to the *Health & Vitality* (we're back to Virgo and Leo respectively) of the whole.

Chiron in Aquarius ~ 2005-2010: This is a time when people need to heal their connection to the earth and be more grounded and balanced. Until they do, they will struggle to manifest their ideals. In the 3-D, Higher Consciousness needs a structure or vehicle of expression otherwise, what good is it? We need this consciousness to be practically applied in the 3-D world.

Chiron in Pisces ~ 2010-2018: This is a time when people need to heal their sensitivity. Sensitivity is a GIFT, however, it is a mixed blessing. Being so sensitive can also make you feel the need to protect your Self, and in piling on whatever layers of protection you think you need, you LOSE TOUCH with your ability to "sense" things around you. Body - Buildings - Energy Fields - whatever you 'surround' your Self with as 'protection', when excessive or imbalanced, can block necessary, incoming energy and information. Until you find a balance and understanding of WHAT you are sensing, you will struggle to connect to God/Spirit/Oneness/BLISS (that is essential to your nature).

For the Collective ... during this 5+ year period of Chiron in Aquarius, we have come to realize that "either/or" serves no one, all Spirit-all the time and you are no longer grounded / all reality-all the time and you are no longer *free*. We must get creative to accommodate the growing family of humanity. We have to heal the wounds of the past and honor them by allowing them to close (and you to move on) ... get to the work of co-creating a renewed global family.

For the Collective ... during the 8+ year period of Chiron in Pisces, we will recognize the value of intuition and the necessity of healthy boundaries. We must recognize that some of the wounds are collective, and what is the collective - but the whole of the individuals - so it stands to reason that if we facilitate our own individual healing and wholeness, that would automatically serve to create a collective healing. We must practice Higher Consciousness in our daily, mundane, 3-D world, making it practical and useful for the entire community. Use tools properly (3-D/Saturn), access Spirit (Consciousness/Uranus) regularly and honor all living beings (Justice/Jupiter).

Pluto Retrograde in Capricorn ~

Another reason it is so intense at this time is Pluto just went Retrograde (Apr 6 - Sept 13) for the next several months provoking a deep delving for all. This too is a blessing, however it appears in your life/reality. We know how Pluto is moving the collective along, but as an individual, you should tune in to this energy for a final purge and purification of anything you've neglected, suppressed or allowed to fester and grow toxic in the dark corners of your Being, your Heart and/or your Mind, for far too long. (Look to the Capricorn House(s) of your chart for the ultimate goal of the Pluto activation. This is in conjunction with the Aries, Libra and Cancer sectors of your chart as well.) Again, choosing to work consciously with the energy will make its journey through whatever part of your chart easier to take and more productive in the end. Pluto is just introducing you to how you will be pushed to "grow up" through this 16-year process.

It's time to pull in and assess how you handle personal and professional responsibility (Capricorn) and if you have heeded the signs to move in to *heart-centered* work, by any means necessary (then Pluto's power is a delicious help). If you have coasted on the backs of others, ignored your own Truth(s) and essentially avoided reality on any or many levels, then this will be a tough (but necessary) review and adjustment period.

Saturn Retrograde RE-Enters Virgo ~

This April-July, Saturn will complete its work through Virgo, that is, restructuring our daily lives on fundamental levels and creating new systems for living. This is your chance to tie up any loose ends that have to do with you the individual, your healing, your structure, your daily routine. You must anchor that prior to the next evolution, which is Saturn through Libra, when you will have no choice but to deal with other people and relationships of all kinds, on all levels (personal, social & collective).

Mercury Retrograde in Taurus ~

Mercury usually spends about 3 weeks in a Sign and Retrogrades 3-4 times per year, extending that stay. While Mercury Retrograde does seem to consistently coincide with technical and mechanical challenges, it is also a *prime* time to commune with nature, Great Spirit and your Higher Self. Mercury Retrogrades are times to review your ideas, perceptions and thought patterns, as well as how you are "processing" life in general. April/May brings 2 full months of Mercury in Taurus, the lesson of proper values and personal priorities. This suggests that we get to review our thinking for where it is/is not grounded and practical, while also reviewing ideas and concepts for their usefulness and innate beauty. This whole year is a major opportunity to anchor some creative ideas so they can manifest in 3-D, benefiting you and serving others.

Mercury Retrograde in Capricorn launched a review of the strategy and plan (Dec/Jan); Mercury Retrograde in Taurus will launch a review that cultivates that "strategy & plan" (Apr/May); which will lead to Mercury Retrograde in Virgo, which will perfect all the ideas and prepare them (and you) for "sharing" (Aug/Sept). Ultimately, we will end 2010, like we did 2009, with a Mercury Retrograde straddling the new year and this time it will be Earth/Fire (Capricorn/Sag), leading to a predominantly *FIRE* year.

Here are my thoughts:

~ 2009 was Air/Earth giving us the opportunity to review the ideas (Air) and test them out, experiment and improvise in real time (Earth) which should have yielded some useful information for guiding 2010.

~ 2010 is giving us the opportunity (to go willingly or get dragged) to apply all that we learned last year to working the ideas in the 3-D, also garnering additional useful information on what physically works and what doesn't.

~ 2011 brings in the *Fire* which can be potently creative or explosively destructive, your choice. Earth gives Fire a *container* ~ a purpose ~ a guide ... or it smothers it. Create your *container* this year (2010) ~ the vehicle that will carry your idea(s) forth in to manifestation. Cultivate a solid base this year, and next year (2011) you'll be able to take advantage of the fiery creativity that will be bubbling behind the scenes of each Mercury Retrograde (2011).

Use this April/May to infuse your thinking with practicality, simplify your personal process and (somehow) connect with the natural beauty within and around you. Every 6-7 years, Mercury Retrogrades through all ONE Element, this year is Earth, and the last time was 2003, so there is your frame of reference. Can you remember 2002 as experimental (Air/Earth similar to 2009) and 2003 as pushing your ideas in to manifestation (ready or not)? (All Earth similar to 2010)

ALL *3* Earth Signs Activated ~

I thought it was worth noting for April, Mercury Retrogrades through Taurus, Pluto Retrogrades through Capricorn, and Saturn (which is already Retrograde) RE-Enters Virgo for the last time in 28+ years. This is a time of MAJOR Review & Completion where our personal, social and collective concepts are concerned: the concept of values and resources (Taurus), structures and stability (Capricorn) and general physical health (Virgo) for humans on this planet (Earth). It's time to master the rhythms of nature (seasons) and deepen your understanding of time and space so you can create a better quality of life, not only for you, but restoring the balance will serve generations to come. Reconnect with your own body/physical vitality and reconnect with Mother Earth in ways that support and preserve life.

Venus (values/priorities) and Mercury (thoughts/ideas/concepts) both dive in to Aries prior to the Sun, getting your *Heart* (Venus) and *Mind* (Mercury) in alignment so that a renewed *Identity* (Sun) can shine forth. As the Sun enters Aries ~ *Spring* Equinox Initiates a new Solar/astrological year. This is a *Universal* RE-Set Button. Clean Slate. New Beginning. It is *Initiation/Integration* for my Aries/Libra babies and *Growth/Development* for my Cancer/Capricorn babies. However, everyone has Aries ruling some area of life and this is the area of life that gets activated at this time every year. Do you know your rhythm for this? How do you feel every Spring? Aries energy activates the instinctual draw toward change and new beginnings. Old ways no longer work and you must get out of your comfort zone and experiment with new modes of operating. Aries is the lesson of independence and courage, knowing who you are, what you want and embodying THAT! This is a Divine opportunity to discover what you're really capable of when you match passion with vision, align your heart/mind connection and never hesitate to take heart-centered action. It is time to embody the energy that is both wild and peaceful, always alert and ready for the next the adventure. Obstacles ~ that's a detail! Delays ~ better watch out! Challenges ~ bring it on! Aries is single-minded, determined and completely focused on present moment so it particularly adept at improvising with whatever is available in the here and now. (We could all use some practice there!) It's the fire that fuels the desire driving that moment in time.

Imbalanced Aries, demonstrates negative Libra: indecision, people-pleasing, other-directed. It is best for Aries energy to remain central and first priority. When Aries is balanced, it embodies courage and pure, instinctive drive ~ it gets things moving and it's exciting to behold. In its most noble expression, Aries energy brings out a protective warrior who defends the weak and infirm. It's very passionate (for the moment) and draws many challenges to their independence and courage to test the purity of the motivations and desires. It's time for you to be more independent and self-sufficient, using what you've got (internally and externally) and acting in present moment with faith and conviction. As you re-connect with your instinctual Self (Aries), your interactions with other life (Libra) around you will be more harmonious because you are initiating from the purest center. When you are self-sufficient, others want to support you ~ when you're passionate and clearly connected to your instincts (guiding your *now*), people want to bask in the warmth of your fire. It sparks your creativity and ignites others' and something *NEW* is born.

Aries' animal spirit is that of the Ram, fearless, agile and determined. It's time to find a cause or purpose larger than your small individual life otherwise, this same energy can be extremely selfish and one-dimensional. This energy is great for starting things, but you should also have other people or entities in place to support future growth and development. This is the energy of *Initiation* ~ getting things started ~ getting things moving in a *new* direction. Develop your own independent nature, cultivate a strong instinctual connection, improvise often, channel rage (paralyzing) into outrage (mobilizing), rise to the challenges as they are presented with heart and courage and gain the wisdom that is *YOU*! We are born on this planet with all that we need, desire and deserve coded in to our DNA. Modern life has attempted to disconnect our instinctual connection to Mother Earth, however, that is impossible. We need only be still and re-member ~ re-connect with our Source - from which we come and to whom all return ~ tune in to the cycles, honor them with your dedication and bountiful blessings for all will be the result.

Living on planet Earth is about natural rhythm and this is an *Initiation* of a new Annual cycle when the Sun enters Aries, the Infant on the Karmic Wheel. *Spring* Equinox honors the Light and initiates forward movement. Whatever additional Planetary Alignments of the time assist, by contributing their power and lessons to the energetic mix. This year, there are many assistants to your *process* of unfoldment, but the *stars* of this initiation are:

16 years ~ Pluto in Capricorn (transformation of reality)

3 years ~ Saturn Retrograde in Libra (restructuring relationships)

8 months ~ Mars in Leo (courage & authenticity)

A new beginning ~ fresh start ~ clean slate ... and who better to assist with clearing the debris and releasing the non-essential to make *room* for your 'new beginning' ~ than Pluto, Lord of Purification & Transformation. Your essential nature (Sun) and the purest, deepest part of you (Pluto) connect in a rhythm every year, four times a year for 16 years (2008-2024) that Pluto is in Capricorn. As it reshapes you from the inside out, so too will the collective shapeshift.

Both Equinoxes bring the push to the next level in their individual ways. *Spring* Equinox is about initiation, new beginnings, getting things moving in a forward direction. *Fall* Equinox is about assessment of the harvest, how productive and effective you have been throughout the year. Both require decisions and are dynamic in nature, facilitating actual change. *Summer* Solstice, when Sun/Pluto have to balance and integrate all that you've initiated at Spring-time; it's a time of blossoming and expanding and you are moved to accommodate all that you've created in new, innovative ways.
