This could not be a BETTER time to review Pluto's transformative self-work. May 20th brings the 3rd of 7 Activations between Uranus (Liberator) and Pluto (Transformer), these activations are moving the Individual, Social & Collective along in an evolutionary way that will not be delayed or denied. I encourage you to set your personal intentions around your own individual evolution or current personal transformation. The Signs involved give more clues about the self-work. Aries is the lesson of independence, courage & taking action on your own behalf - plus initiating the new, while the Capricorn lesson is that of being responsible for your actions and aware of the ripple effect - plus stabilizing the structure of your life. Here we are only slightly more than a month prior to the 3rd Uranus/Pluto contact, which uniquely positions us all to deeply and permanently transform any aspects of life that are truly done/complete & ready for release. Look to the Aries/Capricorn areas of your chart or reflect on what you have suppressed or neglected the longest. Then use the added power & energy from the outer planets to assist you in a big way.
PLUTO: Planet of Death, Rebirth & Transformation ~ Overview
Pluto represents all the heavy-duty parts of life: money, sex, power and death - all major and important ... and hard to talk about or even think about for some people. However, these are vital components of our nature & existence and when balanced & integrated, a rich and fulfilling life is the result. The main challenge when working with Pluto is that it is so far down - deep down within you (soul level), that to even reach that particular depth of who you are, in your current incarnation/lifetime, you have to be fearless & vigilant. You have to commit to speeding up the development of your consciousness by doing the following:
~ Honest, thorough & regular assessments of where you are
~ Determine the area that needs immediate attention
~ Then commit to your own growth and development
If you are even considering Pluto work, then are you are already developing faster than the average individual and actually doing the Pluto work, will dramatically accelerate your progress to the next level. You will know that you need to work with Pluto if there is a large catalyst which propels you to the Underworld where you ultimately discover it was necessary and inevitable. (Possible catalysts are death of a loved one, divorce, lost job, home or something else major or irreversible.) To go voluntarily- willingly - open and receptive to death, rebirth and ultimate transformation is to enrich your own individual process. You should be “awake” for this - you should be conscious & alert. It is also good to have another trusted soul to hold *Sacred* Space until you return (preferably a professional counselor) or a healthy close friend as an “emergency contact”. It should be someone who understands and supports this in-depth self-work and who will not judge what comes up for you in any way, shape or form. The reason you will need this “emergency contact” is because many people (depending on individual circumstances) get stuck in the Underworld (which manifests as depression and/or destructive behavior) and that is not the point of this work.
Why Working With Pluto Is So Important
The point of this in-depth work, is to go deep within and heal these parts of the Self at the core level so an outer manifestation can occur in your life & environment. As you heal the deepest parts of you, you become whole again just as cells have automatic sloughing off & regeneration. You have to do a minimum of an annual compulsory review (Retrograde) of your life plan and strategize what needs immediate attention, implement your action-plan for healing; integrate the new sense of Self as you clear the debris of what you’ve created up to now. Then move on! completely detached from outcome because whatever the outcome and however hard the road is, it is worth it - you are worth it - to have a richer and more authentic. fulfilling life.
Death, rebirth and transformation are all separate, intense and necessary processes. Honor the vision of who you are, by being conscious through this process if/when possible. Observe your Self - pay attention to the journey as there are clues to accessing the Highest expression of you and your Truth which are revealed ALL ALONG THE WAY!! The journey is part of the process that you cannot get around so maximize its potential by doing your part. Do the work! Be patient. And accept the challenge - accept the risk and recognize that the rewards are equal to the risk you’re willing to take and the investment you’re willing to make (in your Self). You have to earn this one. It is an initiation to the next level and there are variables & unknowns. You may even ask, “Why would I WANT to go on such a long and difficult journey into a challenging environment?” The answer is, when you go to the depths, you discover what you’re made of.
~ You go to find the true Source & Strength of who you are.
~ You go to study all the separate pieces that contributed to
your existence today.
~ You go to learn how you are built so that you can maximize
your own potential in the here & now.
~ You go to find out how you were formed (from dust) and
that knowledge & understanding is the KEY to
manifesting anything your imagination can come up with!
~ You go back to being an embryo and now you can be “awake”
for this labor and rebirth - you can CHOOSE who you want to be.
SIDEBAR: You know how we’re always talking about how things in our lives are just as we “chose” them to be - what we chose "previously" to master in THIS current lifetime? Well, NOW you are in THIS current lifetime and you are choosing your next level of evolution. A key part of how you are formed will come from connecting with your Source and understanding your own (human) nature. Empowering you to make better choices for the Spirit, Soul & Human Being that you ARE.
~ How do you want to evolve?
~ What do you want to master?
~ What MUST you master in order not to repeat things in from this lifetime in the next?
Pluto in Sagittarius - 1995-2008 (13 years)
This is not an easy or short-term transition. Pluto moving through Sag will dig up the outgrown belief systems, rooted in death, and bath them in Light, a major, once-in-a-lifetime *purification* of all toxic religions. This activation is transforming what we believe as a collective and activating a full-scale reconstruction (per Pluto) of Truth, making sure we remember that Truth is an ever-evolving, changing, dynamic, fluid essence that cannot be denied. People are, hopefully, going to take more responsibility for their beliefs and consciously choose to change the ones that are clearly working against them. As more revelations come to each individual, a mass awakening happens because there is a natural inclination within us, as humans, to want to understand the bigger picture, the deeper meaning of life, the Universe and our innate connection to it all. But first ... we must clear 248-years of ideas, ideals & beliefs. That's a lot! This is when we find out just how intricately woven the individual, social and collective realms eternally are. This is another reason why things were SO intense during those years - it was the final purge of outdated belief systems and stories that were no longer true. Because Sag, ruled by Jupiter, tends to expand things too, a great number of people awakened to their connection to the larger nature of the Universe and realized they didn't need anyone else to translate their connection to deeper meaning in their lives. Moreover, it feels like we can now safely choose various aspects of other cultures and belief systems and forge our own based on the pieces that resonate most deeply within the Soul. We will be cultivating (remembering) this connection for years to come.
Pluto in Capricorn - 2008-2024 (16 years)
We have Pluto moving in to Capricorn for 16 years, after 13 years of moving through Sag's domain. And like the switch we make annually as individuals from focusing on truth, faith and systems of belief, we then move in to Capricorn to concretize and make those real in our every day life, it is now, on a global scale, moving the collective along similar lines. Pluto is known as the "Purifier", "Lord of Transformation" and rules the Underworld, death, rebirth and ultimate transformation. When it is in a sign, it is essentially in that sign's Underworld, digging up all that has been suppressed, repressed, ignored or pushed 'down there' - all of the Shadow content of that particular sign's nature. Individually, the Shadow nature of Capricorn is to avoid feelings, or more specifically, being responsible for how you feel; to think anything worthwhile has to be hard or a struggle; making life and your life's work an onerous duty, rather than your heart-centered gift to the world; taking your Self and everything around you too seriously to name a few. Collectively, this 16 years will likely reveal the Shadow nature of government, institutions, education & health care systems and society's consciousness in general. However, like I tell anyone dealing with the Underworld or their own Shadow nature, you can postpone, but you'll never avoid the work (Pluto has an Infinite memory) and sooner or later you will have to deal with the 'dark side' and frankly, it is much easier to just commit to facing it head-on as best you can getting it overwith sooner than later. This is the energy of: pay now or pay DOUBLE later!! Personally, I think we've all seen what postponing the necessary responsibilities and hard work will do. Saturn rules Capricorn, and essentially, if you do not define your terms, then they will be defined for you. If you do not stand up, let your voice be heard, especially to disagree, then people (and the powers that be) ASSUME YOU AGREE!!
Pluto Retro in Capricorn: April 12 ~thru~ Sept 20, 2013
Pluto is the planet of death, rebirth and transformation. So when it Retrogrades be prepared to allow some part of you or your life to "die" ... and be transformed anew. There is a part of your Self which is connecting to your deepest desires. However, in order to manifest them, you will have to clear some debris from your life right now. And Pluto is here to assist you in attaining that ultimate goal. Ready or not, it is time for you to move on to the next level. The more you resist it, the harder & longer it will be.
It may "seem" sudden, but really whatever leaves your life at this time has been on it's way out for the last couple of years whether you were consciously aware of that or not. If there is any deep, dark secret or part of your Self you have avoided or suppressed, prepare for it to come up and out to be dealt with once and for all. And be prepared for the subsequent consequences of it coming up and out too - for you, as well as those closest to you. For your transition to the next level may be just as uncomfortable for those closest to you as it will be for you. It can be hard to change your perception of a person even when the changes are clear and evident. People still tend to hold on to their "old" definitions of the newly evolved person before them. Try to be cognizant of when you do that to others and notice if/when others do it to you. If/when it happens to you, it may be a good idea to gently remind people that you "used to do/say/think/be that way" however, you don't any longer and it would be appreciated if they would make the effort to acknowledge that if they wish to continue to remain in your life.
So we understand that things are really dramatically changing. Pluto likes to dig up whatever you have repressed, suppressed or neglected the longest. You may or may not be consciously aware of your weakest place, but this is the time it is likely revealed or remembered. Think of it as coming to the surface of your conscious awareness for the true and final release (Pluto). Don't feed your fears, however, it is also likely to also be something you 'think' you cannot live without. This is a test of what you truly desire and value. Very often, that is the catalyst for (forced) growth and development. Any attempt to hold on to an old habit, person, place or circumstance that is clearly "dead" or "over" will result in more havoc (which you've outgrown) and you create a harder struggle to get past it (and grow) to the good stuff that awaits you. Pluto tends to strip us of all that we think we need to exist and insists that we realize that: your sole responsibility for being here is to CO-CREATE YOUR LIFE!! *VOC* ~ Monthly Void-of-Course ~ is when the Moon is changing from one Sign to the next (every 2-3 days). We consider those times particularly useful ~ Organic Time-Outs ~ that are best used for rest, relaxation, meditation and receiving inner guidance. Sometimes it is 5-minutes, sometimes 24-hours (or on rare occasions, more), but most often, it lasts 1 or 2-hours, which is a perfect *break* if/when you are in a position to take it.
