Venus & Your Magnetics ~ Venus rules everything we truly care about and how we go about creating or acquiring it. Among other things, it rules love, art and beauty, all things that can be physical but the feeling they give us when we experience them is subtle, magnetic energy that draws us in and speaks directly to the heart. The heart is the only electro-magnetic organ in our bodies and directly links us to both the inner core as well as and the outer field which surrounds & protects Earth. When Earth or its atmosphere are zapped with intense energy, we definitely feel it too because we are eternally connected. The communication of the heart is feeling and we are getting a crash course in how to *feel* with all the Water energy swirling at this time. Venus can help you, on a personal level, understand magnetics in a whole new way which will ultimately support you in co-creating a life based on what is most vital to your life and true to your heart. We are not creating the old way we used to, now it is much more about creating an inviting space and magnetizing IN the heart's desire.
  
Venus & Its Dual Nature ~ It rules both earthy Taurus and breezy Libra. Taurus asks, "what is it worth?" and Libra asks, "where is the balance & harmony for all involved?" You can see how we swing from literal, material value to perceived value according to an individual's preferences and priorities. When Venus is expressing Taurus values, it is all about the physical experience of beauty, while with Libra it is all about the essence. Either way, in your chart, Venus rules what you are magnetized to and what you are repelled by.
 
Venus Cycles - Past/Future ~ If we track the last few Venus cycles, one way to look at it is that we got a completely new identity activated when Venus Retrograded through *ARIES* (2009-2010) which was followed by cultivating new values & priorities, based on this "new identity" which opened up access to our innate power to co-create our lives. As Venus Retrograded through *SCORPIO* (2010-2011), we got to cleanse & clear any deeply buried karmic debris blocking full expression of clean, authentic power and true self-worth. As Venus Retrograded through *GEMINI* (2012), we got to explore the infinite ways we can express ourselves at this new level of consciousness and release out-dated thinking and obsolete processes. Now, theoretically, we can put a brand new structure in place with the current Retro through *CAPRICORN* (2013-2014). The focus will shift to actually making decisions and creating fundamental stability, as well as personal security, based on the new values & priorities. Venus Retrogrades every 18-months or so, which means that our *Values & Priorities* shift on a fairly regular basis. Getting a rhythm to this, internally, will help you flow with your own personal evolution with far less fear or anxiety and much more trust in the natural order of things, which includes these natural changes. If we anchor the fundamentals in a secure way, then the next Venus Cycle thru *LEO* (2015) will be our final exam on working with magnetics for sure, with both rewards and revelations!
  
Venus in Capricorn ~ Consider this 4 month period (Nov 2013 - March 2014) a literal and figurative UPGRADE to the structure or foundation of your life. You are responsible for creating, maintaining and sustaining your own life. Essentially, it is time to own your Inner Authority and innate ability to run your own life (Capricorn), and Venus Retro brings the necessary review of values & priorities (Venus) where your personal emotional & physical safety & security are all concerned. What is most important to you around these fundamentals, here & now today? How you make decisions and define security has likely shifted dramatically since 2005-2006, and will shift again by 2021-22 (next Venus Retro in Capricorn). The Retrograde period should afford you time for the *Review*. Review your rules & responsibilities, do some clearing & releasing and prepare the way for new rules, new responsibilities and new projects to have a place to exist and evolve. Retrogrades are always good for research, revisions & resolutions. Does what you have been dedicated to, building and maintaining, actually reflect your deepest, core values? Do you spend your resources of time, energy & money on memories or materials? Education or elitism? Progress or postponement?

    

This Venus work is going to be very personal for those with Capricorn/Cancer and Aries/Libra activated in their charts. Things that were important to you 8-years ago are probably not so vital now, and things that were not even on your list of priorities may have moved to the top. In this case, Capricorn means the structure of your life and the reality you're currently living has evolved over the last 8-years and adjustments to your responsibilities, commitments and decision-making skills should reflect the *upgrade*. Taking a time-out to review your own reality, how it works, what it grounds or anchors in physical form and how it serves you (or not) ~ that is what this Retrograde will likely bring to the foreground. Capricorn energy always reveals where you are rigid, dry & unstable. It's about carrying your own weight, not the weight of the world and Capricorn is very present to the here & now fundamentals (home, work, food, shelter). ReDefine Freedom!

The part of us that is ruled by Saturn, the planet that makes us very cautious and responsible, is the part of us that cuts off the creative impulse, which is the part of us that is ruled by Uranus. It is that pesky, inner dialogue (picked up along the way somewhere, because it's not natural) that tells you you'll never make it; you're not talented enough; not wealthy enough; not beautiful enough - basically convinces you that creativity is a bad thing, that can only lead to disappointment.

Prayer/Affirmation:
I am open and receptive to constructive and useful change in whichever area of my life most needs it.

If we refuse to take chances, expand our horizons and be uninhibited in the areas that are represented by the House Uranus resides in (for you personally), we will end up resenting those areas of our life. It's where we most often blame outside influences (people, jobs, circumstances) for our lack in limitation (in that area). Do you realize it takes 10 times more energy to resist change, than to actually just change??

Prayer/Affirmation:
I will no longer waste my energy on resistance, but use my energy to propel me to the next level.

On the other hand, you may be very outgoing and spontaneous in those areas which makes others uncomfortable and they react negatively. Either way, the lesson of change is taught.

I embrace and express the parts of my Self which are free to be Authentic, which in turn, gives others permission to embrace their Authenticity.

It is suggested that balance of both risk and responsibility would be optimal. This is the challenge Uranus brings to the House it rules (for you personally). It demands that we go beyond and expand the limits of our upbringing or circumstance. Just because the previous generation didn't have the opportunities that the present generation is afforded, doesn't mean that they still shouldn't take advantage of it.

I will not be denied my truth and purpose.

The other things that come up when this energy is stirring is the need for truth and freedom and a remarkable fear of being trapped. Some people live for change and cannot stand when their lives become stagnant (by their own definition). And others prefer a more predictable existence. On both counts, Uranus will give you an indication of your choice. If your belief works for you and serves your Higher good, then, by all means, LIVE AUTHENTICALLY!! Remember to respect each individual's right to the same and know that we all are part of this one human race and forever connected.

This is the month for bridging the gap between the visible reality and the invisible reality. Uranus rules electricity. Electricity is the invisible reality (the power) that creates the visible reality (the light). And so it is with the Universe. It is the invisible that creates the visible. We know electricity exists, we can see the tangible results of electricity even if we do not understand how it works, we know that it does work.

There are things at work within us which are creating our outer reality. And sometimes we are creating our reality based on (invisible) beliefs that are not actually our own, but acquired throughout life. As you grow older, your own experience determines your beliefs and most often, we do discover that the beliefs passed on to us do not coincide with our actual, personal reality.
~ What beliefs/habits have you picked up from your surroundings that are really and truly not yours?

We make choices based on our knowledge, understanding and experience at the time. Unfortunately, we can not always see far enough down the road to know if/when that particular choice is leading us in the wrong direction, until we're already there. Aquarius is all about seeing the big picture. Where Aquarius falls in your chart will be the area that you either are able or need to be able to see the big picture. You may be limiting your Self by clinging to habits which were passed on to you, rather than habits which actually serve your Highest good. And very often people will live their entire lives with secret desires in their hearts or private beliefs which they hold very strongly inside but never act upon in fear of upsetting the rhythm and flow of their current life. That is not living authentically. That makes you an easy target for being a pawn in someone else's drama.
~ Can you identify a difference between your core beliefs and the way you are actually living?

Use this month to access your Uranus, rebel-Self and break open that which you've been hiding or hiding behind.

Uranus insists on being free of restraints of any kind. When you are living your truth, you are free.

One of the ways to know where you need change to happen in your life is the area that you feel restless or agitated about. Start there! Ask Uranus to assist in changing that aspect of your life. If you don't consciously work with Uranus, then Uranus will show up in your life where IT believes you need radical change and uproot you where you stand. In the end it will be a blessing, however, the road will be much more difficult and taxing. And let me tell you where Uranus will start, it will start in the area of your life that is most contradictory. So if you've been perpetuating some aspect of your Self that is not authentically you, Uranus is going to blast that part of you out of the water and demand that you align those two contradictory parts of your Self into something more congruent.

Uranus is not concerned with success or failure, and you shouldn't be either. The only thing that matters in this life is the energy you put forth and the effort you make. Energy and effort produce results and success and failure are both relative and subject to individual definitions.
~ Have you made a sincere attempt to create an authentic life, that fulfills and nourishes you and, in turn, gives you the sustenance to serve your community?
~ Have you been living someone else's dream or truth?
~ Have you just been adrift, with no thought of a dream or purpose?
Be careful, if you don't decide the direction you want to go, the Universe will thrust you in one! And while that may ultimately lead to enlightenment, it certainly is the hard way to go about getting there.

Move confidently in the direction of your goal and the Universe will do the rest to ensure the manifestation of that goal. If you don't know where you want to go, then the Universe cannot help you get there and may decide on your behalf that you need this or that experience to wake you up and force a decision on your part. God has granted us free will and choice - so choose something that feels right to you and your life, then go for it!

I used to always be the first person to get up and dance at a party. And I don't remember ever feeling like, "Oh, I just want to be the center of attention!" I remember thinking, "Let's get this party started! I want EVERYONE to dance!" When you live authentically, you give everyone around you permission to do the same! (And way more often than not, everyone got UP and we got the party started ... TOGETHER!!!)

As with most things, there is one catch ... you have to know what you want. Do you know what you want? Out of life? Your career? Your relationships? Your friendships? It’s not easy narrowing it down, but it can be done. It takes all the things that Capricorn, Saturn and the 10th House represent. Focus, consistency, order, and being responsible for your Self and your actions. This is the month you can really connect to that extra boost of power that may be just what you need to put you over the top. I suggest you use the available energy to tap into what it is you really want. Priorities change throughout life, but especially for a lot of us in the last year. Take some time each day to focus on your priorities and what exactly it is you are trying to accomplish with your life.

Do you work long hours, just to come home and collapse on the couch until you crawl into bed? Do you create projects or obligations that take you away from the people and projects that really nourish and support who you are? I know people who have been going to work and coming home for years. They have given up any semblance of a true life, let alone a personal or social life ... all under the guise of it being “for the family”. GET OFF THE TREADMILL ! Finally, you wake up one day and decide to make yourself create a way to make the same amount of money (or hopefully more - think BIG!) in less time so that your time would be freed up for your personal needs, desires and goals. All it takes is one step in the right direction too. Once you have made one decision to free yourself from your self-imposed prison (of sorts), more ideas will start flowing to mind. It’s like opening a treasure, once you start digging you find more and more, in this case, ideas! Just changing your mind can make you feel better and more capable of living a fulfilling life. And you haven’t even done anything yet! But when you feel better, aren't you naturally more productive?

All that sounds good, but a lot of people ask “how?” You have to take responsibility for who and where you are in your life before you can move on. You have to see how your choices have gotten you here in the first place and how making new choices might take you somewhere better. Opportunities or good ideas do not usually knock on your door. You must actively seek them and be open and receptive to the form they come in, because that too, may be different than you expected.

Thank you God for helping me to see clearly how my free will and choice (which You have bestowed upon me) has created my life.

The other thing I suggest is, to choose only one area of your life to improve at a time. Many of us get very excited about new concepts. We set some goals, spend some money, tell anyone who will listen, get started ... then get overwhelmed and give up on everything. It’s too hard to change your whole life at one time. Then you have this awful sense of failure, which keeps you from trying ... again and again and again until you get it right. Don’t set yourself up like that. Try to find one common denominator; some one thing that is, somehow, connected to everything else.

Thank you God for connecting me to the one common denominator which is connected to all areas of my life, so that I may strengthen and affirm it.

This month is ALL ABOUT YOU ... the NEW you!! Release all that is no longer "truth" for you - on all levels. Begin the process of integrating these amazing new aspects you've recently discovered about your Self and HONOR who you have worked so hard to become!!

As you integrate on this new level, your ego may struggle against the shift. Ego wants to lead but unfortunately it finds fulfillment in the fleeting, whereas Spirit only seeks peace. The key is to allow Spirit to lead your healthy, empowered ego. These inner urges (the ego) should be handled with strength and firmness, yet NOT repressed and broken or we lose power and potency to survive and make our way in life. Do you see animals in nature allowing other animals to distract them from their prey (goal)? No, you don't. Iron-will and great courage are necessary to manifest the Spiritual vision within you as well as out in the world. You must CHANNEL any anger/rage, which immobilizes you - in to outrage, which empowers you and motivates you to action. There will always be some sort of challenge from your environment and there may be an inner war of the two distinct identities you have cultivated over the years (as humans are innately dual on many levels), but it needn't be a "war" as much as a compromise.

As you allow both Spirit & ego to co-exist, assigning them both tasks best suited to their skills (and nature), you will discover your authentic Self. Sometimes we don't allow the authenticity that would enable us to create fulfilling lives. Be authentic - by any means necessary. You can and will survive all the humiliations and defeats and ultimately emerge stronger! Children are the manifestation of a certain conflict (men/women) being handled creatively (coming together in harmony). Stress and strife are just as necessary as peace and tranquility. Accept all of it as part of living on the earth plane. No matter how spiritually committed or selflessly loving we attempt to become, our natures don't die. Practice honoring your true nature.

Do not shy away from your intuition just because you want to avoid conflict. Follow your feeling all the way and then consciously decide how to proceed. If you back off, chastising your Self for some natural impulse (to have things a certain way), you stop any possibility for peaceful resolution within. You usually only get one opportunity to respond to life's challenges (the first time) with any integrity. Any chance for resolution after your initial reaction, disintegrates as time goes on. Honor the vital force within (your nature) and it won't destroy you. Dishonor it and it will eat you alive.

You can have peace, by your own definition. Sometimes you have to lose something precious to you (sometimes it is a part of ourselves that must go) in order to redefine your true values. When you go through that kind of loss, it can make you question all your beliefs and any faith in your Self to make decisions for your Self. That's okay - that is part of it. All that you need, desire and deserve is ALWAYS PROVIDED!! whether you can see it at the time or not.

Remember, you get back from life what you put in to life - so have you been giving half-way or full-out!!? It is said that those who are not generous when times are lean, will not likely be generous even when things improve. You must keep the flow going - give and you will receive. What are you putting out in the Universe? This is the primary use for Leo energy in all of us, it is the part of us that attracts people and circumstances to us. Whatever you are putting out - is what you will attract in to your life. It may have been really difficult lately and you may be feeling like you have paid double for your transgressions, but a new cycle is beginning and you always have a choice as to how you spend your time and energy from now on. Generosity is a key element to living a rich, authentic and fulfilling life! Be generous with WHO YOU ARE - not necessarily what you "have". When you go forward, openly and honestly, you give others permission to do the same and authenticity and choice start to dominate or lead, more than fear and settling. PRACTICE BEING THE *NEW* YOU!

We are extended some grace this summer (with all these Retrogrades) to work behind the scenes, do not squander this time on people or circumstances which no longer "fit" the vision you hold for your life. If you allow yourself to get caught up in the storm (of now), you will find when things move forward that you are not in a position to take full advantage of the opportunities coming this fall. This summer is about completion and closure on all old projects and past inclinations. You are moving rapidly toward the "new you" and you can no longer "wing it" (the old way) because you are in completely new territory, where new rules apply.

We have Eclipses every year so there is ALWAYS energy for change available. The Signs that these Eclipses fall in express the theme, energy and lesson(s) of that *change*. I did a little tracking and found that like 2009 and 2011, there are other years which bring 6 Eclipses, rather than the usual 4 (and sometimes 5). And on very rare occasions, years which bring 7 Eclipses in one calendar year. It happens, apparently, at least once in a decade. Because Eclipses represent pattern-breaking and permanent change, endings and new beginnings, you can see that these years always accompany intense shifts affecting individuals, as well as the Collective.

In all these years, the *intense* shifts come on the following *3* axes consistently:
Gemini/Sagittarius
Cancer/Capricorn
Leo/Aquarius

There are *overlap* years (with the Signs), but always, the entire set of Cancer/Capricorn is at the *Center*. Do any of the following years stand out to you, either personally or historically?

Now, also reflecting on the above patterns, I notice that we've had quite a stretch of so-called *peace* with the big Eclipse years falling each decade. But notice when we get the big Eclipse cycles back-to-back in a 4 year period. That clearly "ups-the-ante" for what and how we co-create with these energies and shifts (of both reality and consciousness). And we're just talking the last century (100 years). But let's bring it back to human size, *NOW* ~ 2009-2011 ~ we are in the most intense period we have experienced since 1944-1946. What can we learn from that period (1944-1946) regarding our *fundamentals* (Cancer/Capricorn)? how we perceive (Gemini) and conceive (Sag) our Truth/Story? and how we can better embody, express & share (Leo) that Truth in ways which improve, inspire and uplift all life (Aquarius)?

*NOTE* ~ it's interesting to notice that we got such an influx of energy during the 1900's and during the 2000's, we experience only half of that same influx. Also worth noting, for almost the entire 200 years, the Eclipses fall in the above Signs. It is not until 2096 do things move along and activate Taurus/Scorpio for the first time. So I am sure, over centuries of time, we eventually make our way throughout the entire zodiac.

With astrology, planets, cycles etc. we do not predict actual events but notice the patterns, the repetition, the choices and the reverberating consequences of those choices during times of intense transition on Earth or within ourselves or society. There are some amazing scientists, as well as astrologers, deeply focused on human and Earthly evolution, digging, searching for the patterns so that we can learn from our past choices. I won't even call them mistakes, but choices, which led in this direction or that and the subsequent results. Be the *Research Scientist* in your own life and dig for the patterns. It will help you make the choices and decisions that need to be made at this time (2010).

During this particular period in history (2009-2011), we have a unique opportunity to co-create with extremely potent energy, the potency further increased by Pluto (purification/transformation) and the North Node (current life path) in Capricorn. This means, if we take responsibility (Capricorn) for what we create (Cancer) then we can live on a stable, functioning *Right Path* (Capricorn North Node) and release the past karma, hunger, neediness and dependency (Cancer South Node) of the old Path. We can create a better structure (Capricorn) that encourages all to be responsible for their actions and contributions to the world, while releasing the past consciousness of sucking Mother dry (Cancer), believing She can continue to produce & provide nourishment with no down-time to replenish. Let's take our cue from Mother, and replenish ourselves on a regular basis, monthly, annually, seasonally and in to the decades and centuries of time as well. We can set intentions for the larger cycles and we can actively co-create with the days, months and years that we have during each lifetime.

Cancer/Capricorn energy illuminates the lesson that: whatever is going on, on the inside, reflects in the outer structure. The health and vitality of the inside, determines the strength and integrity of the protective outside. Both are needed, both are useful and both are inter-dependent. Capricorn is responsible for the family it creates with Cancer. Cancer is responsible for containing and nourishing the life-force energy of Capricorn's work so the structure is sound from the inside-out. They are the *ultimate* Divine Mother/Father archetypes or principles. It is time to redefine our terms where business and family are both concerned. It is time to *HEAL* that primal and eternal connection to the Sacred Mother and the Sacred Father. It is time to remember that *BOTH* are necessary for emotional and material security. It is time to realize that we do not have to choose one, to the exclusion of the other, but can redefine *BALANCE* and shift co-dependence to inter-dependence and be more productive and happy. It's the beautiful quality and rightful purpose of being conscious, thinking Beings. Humans have a certain awareness that enables us to navigate our world, just as other lifeforms do. It's our responsibility to maintain and strengthen the connection on a consistent basis.

If all that sounds too "big" for you to focus on, then pull within. Use this energy to *HEAL* YOUR connection to your biological or adopted Mothers and Fathers. That will vibrate out to the ethers and affect the globe automatically. If we cannot define healthy, responsible, loving parents, then we cannot be them either (whether birthing human families or the creations of your heart). It's a cycle, one which can be worked with over and over again until the patterns you want broken can officially break and the patterns you want anchored can actually take root. But either way, you're still back to your own "conceptions/perceptions" (Gemini/Sag) ~ you're own ability to be responsible for what you create in the world (Cancer/Capricorn) and how much love and courage, rather than ego and self-righteousness (Leo/Aquarius), you imbue your thoughts, words and deeds with as you move through your own personal life. You ARE the "gift" ~ you ARE the "contribution" ~ manage YOU! and you will be intuitively led to your Truth & Purpose (Internally), as well as the love and recognition that goes with living integrity and being whole (Externally). Every time I get overwhelmed (or talk to those with the same feelings), I breathe and pull back in to my own body and ask to be guided by my gut feelings (Cancer) as to the right and tangible (Capricorn) actions I can take ~ in the *Present* Moment. One step at a time. Knowing that each step will lead me to the ultimate goal, if I stay connected to my feelings and intuition (Cancer) and if I stay focused and committed (Capricorn).

Remember that Eclipses ultimately have to do with the interaction between our Earthly reality, the Sun which brings Source Energy and facilitates life, and the Moon which controls the tides of our life-giving waters. Ultimately, life on Earth is determined by Light (Sun) and Water (Moon). Sun/Moon/Earth makes this very personal for humans (Individual), but notice the decades of influence on society (Social) and centuries of influence on the planet (Collective). It's been about 60 years (think: Second Saturn Return) since we've had an opportunity like this one to drastically change our personal and collective reality. With Eclipses, we get a Galactic Reset Button ~ there is an "interruption of flow" ~ flow of Light ~ flow of Electro/Magnetic energy between our hearts and our Mother Earth. This is an opportunity to "break to re-align" ~ between micro and macro worlds, internal and external realms of life.

Use this time and energy to pull back, as the Retrogrades completely support you in your review process this Summer & Fall. Set your intentions for Home & Work / Emotional & Material Security / Balanced Feminine & Masculine (within and without) / Inner & Outer Harmony ~ for your Self, your Community, your Planet, your Universe. Renew your definitions and then renew your commitment to living a happy, healthy, loving, balanced, fulfilling life *NOW* ~ THIS Lifetime! Change is endless and ongoing, don't fight it or try to block or delay it, work with it consciously. When you have this kind of unprecedented support for radically changing how you do Family & Work, why not at least set the intention? This is what is best supported at this time, so if you're ready to change, it can and will happen during this 2-4 year period. Look for the dust to settle over 6-months to 3-years on these specific changes, and results of your choices to trickle in over the next 6-months / 1-year / 3-6-9-years.

Chiron Enters *PISCES* ~ 2010-2018

CHIRON: The Wounded Healer

Without darkness

Nothing comes to birth,

As without light

Chiron, the Wounded Healer energy is the wound we come in to heal, individually (your personal chart) and collectively (up in the sky) we move through each Sign in the zodiac during the course of a 50-year Cycle. The *A-Ha* Moment that many experience by/around the age of 50. Chiron's mythology is very interesting, as he was known for consciously choosing death, and in this case, his journey through Aquarius suggests that community and individuals' special gifts / healing abilities have all been undergoing a major healing and transformation (2005-2010). Allowing the ego-based, separatist thinking to die so that a rebirth of communal living and honoring of all living things can re-emerge. This is micro-to-macro, yes on a collective level we are definitely going through this, but on an individual level, can you make the connection to:

Chiron has been working through many of these Aquarius/Leo issues for the last couple of years and it turns out that almost all of that 5+ years, Chiron would Retrograde during Gemini time and go Direct during Scorpio time. This suggests to me that a review of our thoughts, ideas and expression (Gemini) of community and alternative ways of living (Aquarius) were concerned. And after that review, and subsequent healing within, emerges during Scorpio time ready to plant seeds at such a potent time for creating just such a global community which supports the vital life force of ALL living beings. Scorpio energy assists in activating what needs to be purified, healed and RELEASED (wounds must be cleaned before they can heal and disappear), plunging us in to the Underworld, to be stripped of all ego machinations, humbling us - and hopefully healing us individually and collectively - to come back up to the surface clean, pure and ready to plant healthy new seeds that will nourish humanity for a long time to come.

It is still on the above schedule as it moves in to *PISCES*. And I remind you that it will Retrograde back and forth through the END of Aquarius and the BEGINNING of Pisces, extending a natural *GRACE* period of adjustment to the new energetic vibration. During the 5+ year period in Aquarius, for the collective, we realized or remembered that *either/or* serves no one, all Spirit-all the time ~ and you are no longer grounded ... all reality-all the time ~ and you are no longer free. The during the 8+ year period in Pisces. We must practice Higher Consciousness in our daily (Pisces), mundane, 3-D world (Virgo), making it practical and useful for the entire community. Use tools properly (3-D/Saturn), access Spirit (Consciousness/Uranus) regularly and honor all living beings.

As it moves through Pisces during 2010-2018, your frame of reference will be 1960-1968. A greater sensitivity is available now, a completion of a 50-year Cycle is upon us and we must navigate carefully in preparation for *Initiation* in to Aries next. This *sensitivity* is a mixed blessing. On one hand, you can be overwhelmed by the information you are "sensing" from a multitude of sources and if your Virgo-Filter is not clean and engaged to *sort and sift* what is relevant and useful information, you could drown in confusion. On the other hand, if you practice daily (Virgo) feeling ONE with the Universal energy and flow (Pisces), then you could access a very deep reservoir of knowledge and understanding.

It is time to work with your intuitive capacity and hone it so that it can serve you during this Earthly transition. And remember, Chiron activates the WOUND so it can draw your attention to the HEALING. So at first, many will feel open and vulnerable, which can make you feel the need to protect your Self, and in piling on whatever layers of protection you think you need, you LOSE TOUCH with your ability to "sense" things around you. Body - Buildings - Energy Fields - whatever you 'surround' your Self with as 'protection', when excessive or imbalanced, can block necessary, incoming energy and information. Until you find a balance and understanding of WHAT you are sensing, you may struggle to connect to God/Spirit/Oneness/BLISS (that is essential to your nature).

Chiron's Schedule ~
Chiron takes about 51 years to move through all 12 signs, and has an extremely erratic orbit where it spends much more time in a handful of signs (Aries/Taurus and Aquarius/Pisces) and very little (comparatively) in all other signs. This speaks to what I always say about Pluto's transformative energy as it too has an erratic orbit - that transformation (Pluto) and healing (Chiron) "takes as long as it takes" and neither will be boxed in to a formula that we linear-thinking humans can define, control or set our own clock to. Both occur in Divine Time and Order and all we can really do is attempt to co-create with the energies available and allow the process to run its course, making new choices along the way. Also note, that when Chiron moves through the END & BEGINNING of the zodiac, it affects the LARGEST POPULATION for quite a length of time. The current evolution begins with Aquarius (2005) and will be intense for most of us through Taurus (2034).

Chiron orbits between Saturn (our physical reality) and Uranus (Higher Consciousness) which also suggests that you must HEAL the connection (bridge) between these two vital aspects of your being. This is the first step to integrating your human and spirit selves, which is absolutely necessary to expand your consciousness (Neptune), transmute your karmic patterns (Pluto) and reach Higher Consciousness (Uranus). You have to go through Chiron to get to any of that! Wherever Chiron is in your personal chart is the healing you incarnated to do and that which you will automatically teach by your life's example.

Mini Chiron History ~
Chiron has also been associated with Sagittarius because of the centaur connection, but that only speaks further to the integration of the physical (Saturn) and spiritual (Uranus) natures within us. Traditionally, Mercury is said to rule Virgo, however, while I believe there are some definite Mercurial qualities to Virgo, I believe Chiron is the true ruler of Virgo, a more complete expression, because it is the HEALER (total Virgo/High Priestess energy) and is well known for his mastery of herbalism, acupuncture, massage, homeopathy, chiropractic and all alternative healing modalities. Additionally, Chiron was discovered (brought in to our conscious awareness) in 1977 when these modalities all really anchored in the collective consciousness and became more widely accepted and practiced. Still under the explosion of connections of Chiron on the collective, the next year, 1978, The Native American Religious Freedom Act was passed which allowed American Indians, Eskimos and Native Hawaiians to practice their earth-based wisdom and healing practices (Virgo is an earth sign) speaks to the practical application of Spirit in everyday life. These people infused Spirit in to ALL ASPECTS OF LIFE.

... and DEATH which brings me to another example of Chiron in our world, choosing death consciously, of your own free will. In mythology, Chiron lived for centuries and had the full spectrum of experiences (gods and humans) with the exception of death. He had been wounded and he suffered (like we all do) until he asked to be released from the body, a wish that was granted. So essentially, he CHOSE to walk in to the Underworld, fearless and willing to sacrifice his life for the greater good. What within you needs to be sacrificed for your own greater good and ultimate evolution? (His death released Prometheus, the Bringer of Light.) From the darkness, comes Light. From death, comes new life. Struggle is futile, going willingly UNLOCKS the magic!

*Winter* Solstice ~ initiates the Solar year and welcomes the Return of the Light. Things appear dormant on the surface, however, much life is developing beneath the surface ~ in preparation for Spring. Still a time of relative darkness and limited mobility, you are most supported for working behind the scenes, communing with other realms, honoring darkness and silence and receiving information, nourishment and replenishment with a clear intention of strengthening for soon-to-come action and forward movement.

Next Season is a little more 'mental' but this Sacred Season is about what you *feel* on the deepest levels and creating space to move from that Center within ... out in to the world to be a useful and dynamic participant in Life. This is the time of year to set your intentions for what you want to create, within your own Being and out in the world through good works. It's time to strategize about the future, while building on what is solid and worthy. It's time to take the past year's 'fruits of your labor' and put them to good use. It's time to get serious and practical about what you want and create a plan for success.

During this Sacred Season, the Sun makes the journey through ALL Capricorn and the first half of Aquarius. After Sag helps you anchor a new Truth/Story for the new year, Capricorn time comes along to anchor that Truth in the 3-D. This energy brings the Annual Reality Check: Do your inner and outer lives *match*? What's working? What's not? about your current reality. Capricorn is all about your inner authority to run your own life and will test your capacity to do so through various means. That is not the point of this energy. The point is that you are in completely new territory and you must take your time and process (Mercury Retro) the information presenting itself, you must review past actions (Mars Retro) to determine what will work here and now, and you must complete whatever you've started before you can expand on your plans (Saturn Retro). These three indicate that 2010 must be navigated with careful, practical thought, in connection with measured, heart-centered action so you can complete your individual healing (Saturn in Virgo) in preparation for creating solid relationships and community going forward mid-year (Saturn in Libra).

The final connection (of 3) between Jupiter (Truth/Story) and Neptune (Vision/Unity Consciousness) happens on Winter Solstice, amplifying the power of renewal. The first one was in May, then July and now finally, in Dec. Reflecting on the previous contacts will give you an idea of how to proceed. There is always a *catalyst* (the first contact) then a *review* (pull back to go forward) and finally, fortified with healing and new information, *forward* movement. For those who have been consciously working on their healing processes for the last 10-12 years, the Healing Trinity is really solidifying all that work and rewarding all that dedication by fusing the fragments of your Soul, strengthening you for the next leg of your journey. For those who've avoided or suppressed their own true nature, ignored open or festering wounds (for whatever reason), the Healing Trinity has activated a process you can and should co-create with or it will be decidedly more lengthy and painful. Either way, while these three celestial bodies (Jupiter, Neptune, Chiron) separate (slowly), you still have access to unprecedented healing for another year or two and now is the best time to set your intentions.

12/21 ~ Jupiter/Neptune ~ Aquarius ~ ALL Air

The Sun has its annual cycle through the zodiac, however, Pluto is only in a sign for 10-20 years at a time and takes 248+ years to cycle through the zodiac. Pluto is the Purifier and the Sun represents your core essential Self. Every year they get together and clear out more of the deep, karmic debris within each individual, as well as the collective. Reflect on how your belief system was deeply altered and/or integrated over the years of 1995-2008 as Pluto moved through Sagittarius. Now that you're clear on what you believe to be "true", the shift of Pluto in to Capricorn initiates a new 16-year process of healing and purification. Those with Capricorn as their Sun Sign will get the biggest infusion over this cycle, but certainly everyone's Cancer/Capricorn Planets and Houses will be stimulated to transform and move to a new level of expression. Collectively, it is time to be responsible (Capricorn) for Self (Sun), own your innate power (Pluto) and direct it with more conscious awareness. On one hand, Saturn in Libra is going to reveal weaknesses in the structures of your primary relationships, so any that are falling apart already are likely to break down altogether. This is not a bad thing. This is a good thing because it will force all parties involved to *define their terms* with more clarity, allowing for deeper commitment. (This is a perfect time to renegotiate contracts of all kinds, starting with your Soul Contract.) Pluto in Saturn's sign suggests that *responsibility* rules the day no matter how you slice it. It is time to be responsible for what you build in your life and in the world. Pluto, ruler of death, rebirth and transformation, never destroys anything you truly need, desire or deserve. It's whole purpose is to strip you of the non-essential so you can connect with what IS *Essential*. This combo is very serious, but can also be seriously productive if channeled properly.

This is an ongoing activation to consciously work with for tangible results. Use this initiation stage to set your intentions about who you are and how you'd like to contribute to society in a meaningful way. As the above parable illustrates so beautifully, we always have a choice as to which part of our shadow and light nature we will feed in any given moment, and both are widely available at this time because we are at a crossroads. We are beginning a major, new chapter, individually and collectively. And the choices we make this year will set the tone for years to come, so be present as you choose each thought, each emotion, every word, every response and every action!

The power of "now" includes a potent connection to Source because we are in the void. All seeds germinate in the darkness and depending on what your "intent" is, will determine the "seeds" you plant and the quality of nourishment/care you give them to grow properly. Will you "grow" (create) more darkness or Light in your life? body? home? environment? community? planet?

Scientists claim that 95% of our Universe is invisible, unquantifiable and considered "dark matter", they don't fully understand its magnitude or power, they cannot define it, they cannot see or touch it, but they know it's there. They can detect a "force" - a "movement" - and an "energy" that clearly exists and affects the 5% of matter they can see, touch and define. This speaks volumes to the energy of creation. This says to me that 95% of the power to create is INVISIBLE! This is another way of saying that you create with intent, emotion and passion (all invisible) ... thought precedes physical manifestation ... imagination creates reality. If we are only accessing a minute percentage of our brains, are we also only accessing 5% of the Universe and all its power, magic and gifts? The point is, you are here, living and awake during a monumental time in our planet's history, what will you create during the time you are here and how will it have meaning for you?

Our thoughts are manifesting with lightening speed, sometimes before we've even been able to complete the thought, the Universe has revealed the results before our eyes. The choices you make this year are vital to which energies and ideas you will "feed" and manifest going forward. The mass consciousness is rooted in fear, which is where the powers that be would want them, docile, controlled and predictable. However, many are awakening from their deep slumbers and recognizing their personal truth and remembering what a short period of time we have here on this planet. We must maximize the time we have left being and doing what creates and maintains FLOW ... the flow of love, the flow of energy exchange, the flow of creative juices, the flow of abundance ... flow and reciprocity.

Planetarily, we are at this crossroads, truly things could go either way, so it is up to each powerful individual to "feed" the good ~ the Light within Self and others. Create the community you want to be a part of ~ by "being" what you want to attract. "Be the change you want to see in the world." (Ghandi) Inhale back your own authority, be responsible for who you are, how you feel and what you create in this world, visible and invisible. Be honest with your Self and check all aspects of your personal structure and foundation (for your life). What supports you when NOTHING & NO ONE else does? Mars Cycle
Mars usually takes about 2 months in a sign, taking it 2 years to make it through the zodiac. So on a personal level, every 2 years, you can expect a new cycle to *Initiate* where your energy, passion and desires (Mars) are concerned. On a collective level, we look to the Retrograde for that *reset button* to be pushed, where your outer life, and its direction, shifts in terms of energy and action. This year Mars Retrogrades (Dec 20, 2009) and goes Direct (Mar 10, 2010) in ALL Leo. To give you a frame of reference, the last time Mars came close was when it Retrograded in January 1995 in Virgo, and went Direct in Leo in March 1995 (same Virgo/Leo combo happened in 1980; 1977 was Leo/Cancer). However, the last time it was truly similar to *now* ~ ALL Leo ~ was December 1962 - March 1963. Again, we have the 1960's re-activated *now*. Think of the issues that got people all fired up and passionate back then, things that spurred them to action, some effective, some destructive, but undeniable moves were made and people were operating from a deep sense of heart-felt passion about their ideas and views.

Mars Retrograde in LEO ~ Past & Future
Another note on the timeliness of Mars Retrograde in LEO and what's to come. This period in history is so intense and brilliant! Marinate this: what-all happened in 1962-1963 that prepared you for the vibration which occurred when it was the Leo/Cancer Retrograde of 1977? That frame of reference will also help you with navigating *now*. The next time Mars will Retrograde in Leo/Cancer (like 1977) it will be 2024-2025 ... right as Pluto wraps up its 16-year journey through Capricorn, then does a little back-and-forth with its own Retrograde through Capricorn/Aquarius. This will put Mars (lower will) in direct OPPOSITION to Pluto (Higher Will) for several months during that time (2024-2025). That is HUGE!! We get little Mars Oppose Pluto activations periodically, but that one will be extremely significant for the collective and how we navigate *now* (and the next 15 years) where our authentic *power* is concerned will determine the outcome of this major once-in-a-lifetime cycle.
*I realize you may feel that is too far in the future to consider, but think of how fast the LAST 10-15 years have zipped by and take in to consideration that part of that is the fact that time, as we perceive it, is really speeding up. I myself, think we should take things a year or two at a time, but a periodical glance ahead doesn't hurt. Keep in mind, everything is leading to the next thing and consider these smaller cycles as building blocks of the larger cycles ... especially if you are creating a greater vision of your life and desire to contribute to the collective, your unique *piece* of the whole.

Mars
Most people know Mars for its mythology as the God of War, anger and aggression, being head-strong (Aries), diabolical (Scorpio) and always trying to get what it *wants* (sometimes, by any means necessary and without thought of possible danger to themselves or harm to others). I'm going to suggest we use this energy as *rage-to-outrage*. Rage is destructive and paralyzing, it holds you hostage and does damage to all involved, whereas, Outrage is productive, mobilizing and a much more effective use of the same energy. Not to mention, Mars is so much more! You are capable of expressing so much more! Mars represents what motivates you to action, what gets you fired up and how you use your vital life force energy to produce results in your life. It can make you cranky (within) and abusive (without) if you are not channeling that energy properly or suppressing your desires altogether.

Mars is the motivating force within you that pushes you to do anything in the world. It's your personal will and connection to power on a mundane level, and most of all, it's the part of you that needs something to *DO*. "Idle time is the devil's workshop" is never truer than a Mars with no purpose or direction. To accomplish anything, you must first have the desire, then the energy and ultimately, the action you take dictates the results you'll receive. Humans need a reason to get up and move every day, which is inspired by *desire* ... the desire to be, do, have ~ the passion to play, create, cavort ~ the vitality to ignite, spark, initiate *LIFE*! Repression and suppression of this natural instinct causes toxic explosions, and rightly so.

Mars in LEO
Mars in Leo is a beautiful gift, for those born with it, as well as the rest of us now being affected for several months as this planet animates these lessons and gifts (and activates that area of your personal chart). This is a prompting from the Universe to focus in this area. The fact that it is moving through this lesson (introduction), then pulling back, indicates a necessity to review ~ revise ~ go back over this territory ~ there is something you may have missed the first time ... then on the 3rd and final pass, forward movement resumed, you have additional information and clarity with which to consciously decide how you really want to express this Divine energy.

Retrogrades are never a time to *Initiate* but rather a time to *Review / Reflect* and prepare for future forward movement. This is a time, certainly December 2009 - March 2010, to pull back, don't force issues that are not working and do not force your will or initiate confrontations as they are not likely to turn out in your favor. This is a time to reflect on how you use your own energy to get things done in your life. Are those ways serving you or holding you back? Because Leo is the lesson of Self-Love, this particular season is about if / when / how you actively (Mars) love your Self (Leo) and how you relate to your own heart's deepest desires. Do you feel worthy of the things you dream of? Do you feel like what you really want is even possible? What motivates you to action on your own behalf ~ fear or love? This is a time when less conscious souls will not be able to control their anger with the seeming injustices, blockages and delays to getting their way. They will demonstrate their frustration by exploding with infantile rage (tantrums/fits), selfishness (lower will) and groundless pride (ego).

Don't get me wrong, we all have 'good days' and 'bad days' when we may *initially* feel all of the above, however, a conscious and awake soul will catch it ~ in that very same moment ~ and take back their power to *choose* a mindful response rather than allow their ego to ignite the explosive emotional reaction. If you are faced with power struggles, control issues, ego mania and/or outright hostility, you have to pull back and ask your Self, what within you, feels this out of control? or unworthy of respect and common courtesy? or in need of an anger-management lesson yourself? Here are some suggestions for a better use of this energy and cycle.

Check Your Personal Motivations ~ what motivates you to act on your desires? what excites you? what gets you fired up? It has likely changed in the last 2 years. And if you're old enough to remember, with clarity, this energy and cycle from 1995 or 1980 or 1977 or 1962-63 when the lesson of how you love your Self and use your energy to express your authentic nature came up, then I ask you now: what do you want to do differently *this* time? How can you use the gifts and strengths you've cultivated over the years ~ with an eye on the mistakes made and challenges encountered ~ to choose differently *this* time?

Check Your Personal Desires ~ you may not even *want* the same things you wanted 2 years ago. Many people function on "auto pilot", or worse, in "survival mode", moving through life without consciously thinking or choosing their next move. That is a dangerous way to operate when we've clearly moved into new and unknown territory. This is an incredible time of transition from an old era to a new era ~ from the Piscean Age to the Aquarian Age. The planets are the least of the many, many indicators signifying this shift of the ages. The same old modes of operating will not work and could even be potentially dangerous. It is imperative that you know who you are and what you truly want. Then you must act intuitively in this new realm, engaging your *heart* to make the final decisions.

Check Your Personal Energy ~ how do you use the energy you have to get what you want? Is it effective or destructive? How do you replenish your energy when it is low? How do you manage and direct your energy when it is high? What are you attracting from others (known and unknown people)? Count the blessings and acknowledge the challenges, take back your power to express your energy differently (as needed).

Perfect Your Action Steps & Responses ~ Mars Retrograde is the best time to review how your actions have helped or hurt your progress. Review ~ Reflect ~ Plan ~ Strategize ~ and ultimately, prepare for *new* action steps AND responses upon forward movement. What actions have helped (or hindered) you in the last 2 years? How / when / where can you choose differently going forward?

Step In to Personal Authentic Power ~ it is time for you to be responsible for the power you do have to direct your own life. Your personal power supports you and is vital to accomplishing the goals you set in life. Any power you rely on *outside* of Self is IN-authentic, temporary and likely toxic. Personal power begins with knowing who you are and what you want ~ clarity is a beautiful thing. When these things are in place, you know that everything is your *choice* and you are never a victim. You remember in every moment that you are connected to Source which supports only the true, authentic Being you are (everything else is ego ~ Edging God Out).

Choose a Cause of the Heart ~ Because Leo is Self-Love, I say, start there! Many people go through life serving and helping others, which in and of itself is admirable and part of why we're here, but it is not the only reason we are here. If you are giving away all your love and energy to others to the detriment and expense of your own vital life force and NOT replenishing, receiving or allowing it to be reciprocated in even flow, then eventually you will tap-out (then you're no good for anyone). If you are good at balance and reciprocity, then *expand* and share that love and vital energy. Find something to dedicate your energy to that *feels* good to your HEART! Very often, whatever you are drawn to *give* automatically feeds you in return.

Define & Establish Healthy Boundaries ~ this goes for your Self and others. For your Self, you must know and love your Self enough to develop clarity on what you can/will and can't/won't do. I remind you not to think of it as "selfish" but "self-preservation". You are in charge of YOU! When you honor your Truth, when you express your needs and desires with honesty, others will automatically respect the boundaries you have set.

Respond vs. React ~ Creative responses will yield much better results than prideful, emotional reactions, now and always. But particularly at this time, when Mars Retrogrades, we can all get a little frustrated when things are not working as we envision. Again, those with an expanded repertoire of response and vital imaginations will get to flex their muscle during this period. Those stuck in ego, terrible-two's-I-want-my-way-NOW mode will be frustrated (others) and draining to be around (you). Understand that when the planet of "action" pulls back, so too will "action" slow in the mainstream, 3-D world. Fighting it is futile but everyone will get through it in the way that is most useful to their level of Soul work. Mars movement, in either direction, is always revealing! Unconscious or unrecognized anger, pride, ego and childishness will be brought in to the light for review and release. Keep in mind that every *disruption* of the energy is an opportunity for clarity (for all involved).

Love as a Verb ~ This is the best time to rededicate your energy to actively loving your Self: body, mind and Spirit. Treat your Self like a cherished child, with love, respect, nourishment and protection. Create space to play and discover. Exercise, rest, eat living foods and drink plenty of water. Take time to read or do a puzzle (solo play) and/or make a play-date with a few special friends, spend time in nature, at a park, on the swings, at the ocean's edge. Write poetry, short stories or journal. Anything artistic, any kind of expression of creativity will strengthen your heart connection and remind you that you are *ALIVE*!

Once you've had a chance to delve in to your own process, renewed *clarity* about who you are and what you want will inspire you, upon forward motion. You will recognize how compassion, forethought and patience enable you to dialogue rather than duel.
