I am preparing for several upcoming events (see below) which will guide and support you during these changing times. The energy is intensifying (so what else is new?)!! I alerted you months ago that August was going to be as close to a "breather" as we were going to get before September ushered in truly transformative energies. So a reminder may be necessary to help you keep your eye on the true goal of *NOW*. There are some major activations, and there is definitely something for everyone. Each of the major alignments have their designated assignments to facilitate the current lessons. The Leo New Moon (8/20) urged you all to align with your own heart, and love yourself and each other more. Then the Sun (8/22 ~ identity/essential nature and Leo's ruler), along with the Moon (8/21), went in to Virgo, the sign of purification, healing and wholeness, which means an inner (Moon/Lunar) and outer (Sun/Solar) alignment (of your Being) was activated. This was the lead-in to Mars and Mercury (8/25), plus Venus (8/26 ~ all personal planets), adding to the Sun and Moon, as they *ALL* move in to new signs, initiating new lessons and expressions. Vesta is in on the mix this week as well (8/28). She is the aspect of the Divine Feminine which holds ALL LIFE SACRED~ and generally brings to your attention, that which 'used to be' sacred / has become taboo / it is now your job to make it sacred again!! She just spent the last 3+ months in Cancer, making your Sacred Space and Heart-Centered Work "sacred" again. This week, she moves in to Leo for the next 3+ months, making your core Self, Authentic Love and a Healthy, Thriving Community *SACRED* again! Remember, when ANY planet changes signs, it slows down (as should you) and beams down *INTENSE* ~ concentrated energy to us all ... and this week alone, all *6* of the above planets/asteroids are moving in to *NEW* territory.

Mercury Retrograde ~ Virgo/Libra

August 15 -thru- October 15 is the primary time frame of this particular Mercury Retrograde, which is technically ~ Retro on September 7th and Direct on September 29th. The Shadow period began around mid-August and will end around mid-October. During the course of this Mercury Retrograde through Virgo, Libra (and back again), there are several rare and once-in-a-lifetime additional activations. This tells me that while we make these monumental, tangible shifts (within and without) and while we take these quantum leaps of faith and expand our awareness, our capacity to mentally process and deal with these major changes will be more effective if we turn to Spirit, Higher Self, inward, to the core of our Beings, to our *HEARTS* ~ to guide us. Pushing to outwardly articulate or communicate what you are going through on this most deeply personal level is going to be near impossible to do with any fluidity or accuracy. There are not WORDS for what you will be experiencing for the next two months, and the reverberations extend many, many years in to the future.

I recommend concentrated effort to meditate as long and often as physically possible. Don't do this deep work 'on the fly' or while multi-tasking. (Normally, you can make great strides that way, but things are not "normal" right now.) Don't think of it as a "permanent" practice you have to rush in to NOW or else ... instead, think of it as *COMMITTING* to giving your Self two months to truly understand these major events and what they mean in your personal, inner and outer lives. You can "react" to the pokes from the Universe, but it is much more effective to "respond" ... with an *INNER* processing of your transformation and transition to the next level. If you give your Self this (or any) dedicated, focused time each day, and truly digest (embody) all you've experienced in the last 1-10 years, you will come out the other side of Mercury Retrograde with much more clarity and acquired wisdom to guide your next move(s) as Mercury and the Healing Trinity (Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune) all go *FORWARD* allowing you express the miracle that you ARE!

August 25/26 -thru- October 17 is the primary time frame of the *CURRENT* Mars/Pluto activation. The *BEGINNING* of the first of *8* (2-year) Cycles, which we are currently "in", was November 2008 -thru (early) February 2009 ~ along with Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius/Capricorn and a Leo Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse ~ Mars *JOINED* Pluto through Sagittarius (opposing Gemini / squaring Virgo/Pisces ~ 1995-2008) for the last time and Capricorn (opposing Cancer / squaring Aries/Libra ~ 2008-2024) for the first time in over 250 years! That was the beginning of a 2-year Cycle, which led to the first *TEST* in April/May 2009 and here we are in August/September 2009 experiencing the *INTEGRATION* along with a Leo New Moon and Mercury Retrograde in Virgo/Libra. This suggests to me that the Leo energy of self-love and authenticity and the understanding and expressing (Mercury) of the "new you" ~ is connected with the Mars/Pluto work which will distill your deepest desires and clear a space to manifest them in the cleanest, purest ~ mental, physical, emotional and spiritual ~ environments possible at this time.

Mars is connecting with Pluto AGAIN! Remember last December 2008? That was the one and only month of the entire year that all the planets were FORWARD and Mars joined Pluto in Capricorn ... those two planets getting together only happens about every 2 years. So with Pluto in Capricorn for 16 years, that gives you *8* opportunities ~ in your ENTIRE LIFETIME ~ to really work on balancing and integrating your Lower Will (Mars) & Higher Will (Pluto) in Capricorn: Your Inner Authority, Your Desire for Heart-Centered Work, Your Contribution to Society, Your Passion for Freedom and Justice, Your Basic Human Rights. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, like so many other alignments in the years to come, to TRULY *PURIFY* and *DISTILL* your deepest desires to be truly independent, effective and self-sufficient, making you better able to make a worthy contribution to society. Now, let me take you back a little further to September 2007 - March 2008, when Mars Retrograded in Cancer (Mars Retrograding is another thing that only happens about every two years). It spent 7+ months in Cancer *PREPARING* you for this very alignment. Review your journals and notes for that time period and you're sure to find that what reached peak energy / critical mass / or imploded around September 2007 - March 2008, the dust finally settled on by December 2008, which *Initiated* the new Capricorn building work for Mars and Pluto (and YOU!) ... here's the basic 2-year cycle you can expect for 16 years to come.

*Note ~ I am developing a class for this, stay tuned, but in the meantime, journaling may prove invaluable when you have this first two years behind you and you want to reflect on how/when this cycle started. Remember, very often, how you START is how you FINISH ... and you always have a choice as to how much or how little you invest in your OWN POTENTIAL & WELL-BEING. **A final thing to remember about this year and Mars' movements is that it will Retrograde in December 2009, which it only does every two years. Last time was Cancer, this time, the extended stay will be in Leo. More on that later ...

Saturn/Uranus ~ Virgo/Pisces

The on-going Saturn/Uranus activation has its 3rd of five Acts (9/15) and is also connecting with this month's Pisces/Virgo Lunation. The Pisces Full Moon (9/4) is going to dissolve whatever's *READY* creating a womb-like experience of *DEVELOPMENT* ... which will be, in part, preparing you for the Infinitely potent alignment during the Virgo New Moon (9/18) when Saturn, Sun, Moon (and my natal Uranus and Pallas - wow!) are *ALL* at 25° Virgo (with Mercury Retrograde close-by at the anaretic, mastery degree of 29° Virgo) ... all in the *9th House* of your Truth & your Story, along with: spiritual quest, wisdom, expanded consciousness, belief systems, religion, philosophy, publishing, higher learning/education, distant travel, foreign people, languages and countries.

Saturn Oppose Uranus ~ This is a Collective Activation that will *ping* us 5 times over a 2-year period (2009-2010) and it made me think of the "5-Act Structure" of a theatrical performance. Our initiation was Nov 4, 2008 / Election Day in the US and we have two more in 2009, February and September and two more in 2010, April and July. MARS: The *KEY* to *NOW* ~ Heal Your Desire Nature & Honor Your Self

We have such major shifts going on, and things seem to be so 'rapid-fire', you may not always feel like you have the time or energy to process them completely. This is when you should invite your Invisible Assistants to pick up where you cannot continue. I heard someone say recently that they thought their guides must be busy with so many souls going through changes at this time that they are unavailable for them. And I want to tell you ... THERE IS NO TIME IN GOD!! Time, energy and resources, apparently limited by our human perspective, are all truly UNLIMITED for Great Spirit. You need only extend the invitation, open to receive the benefits and give gratitude faithfully. I am reminded of a poem Wayne Dyer used in his book, Your Sacred Self.

This is a perfect illustration of Mars' typical impatience and Saturn's typical 'know it all' attitude. Let us find a Higher expression within. You want to work with both of these energies or they become toxic and will poison you and those around you. We are amidst a major cycle I would like to illuminate so you can have some food for thought. Mars rules our desire nature, our urge to *do* in the world, ruling our passions and that which motivates us to action. So, what do you REALLY WANT? out of life? out of relationships? out of a career? It's all very personal too! Saturn rules our definition of reality, what you consider "real" and the structure/foundation of your life. More importantly, Saturn rules your inner authority (and how you perceive authority in the world). So are you feeling stable and in-control of your own life or totally out of control and dominated by forces outside of you? I feel intuitively that understanding this energy is the key to navigating *now*. You have to be crystal clear about what you want and what you are will to be responsible for.

Mars' pattern or cycle is a two year process. Last July 2008, Mars initiated a new 2-year cycle with Saturn when they both got together in Virgo. Because of the larger Saturn/Uranus cycle, what may have been a simple initiation any other year, now takes on a much broader perspective and the results of your choices (and actions) will have long term reverberations.

So let's consider.

July 2008 ~ Mars gets together with Saturn in Virgo (and opposes Uranus in Pisces a month later, August 2008). This initiates a process. Saturn won't be in Virgo again for 30 years so this is your chance to anchor Virgo's HEALING of your true DESIRE for stability by your own definition and a major healing of your personal structure. What happens when these two get together is, your buttons get pushed because you realize that your reality (Saturn) actually does not truly reflect what you really want (Mars) and Mars energy wants to act but Saturn resists (for a variety of reasons - fear, doubt and all kinds of "realistic" inner dialogue that lists all the reasons why you can't really have what you want). Then you are ANGRY. This is actually a GOOD THING!! Rage to outrage, people, mobilize that energy - direct it - get fired up - you SHOULD be angry and yes, initially you will be angry with Self because in Virgo, ALL the flaws, mistakes and poor choices are glaringly obvious. Breathe. All is not lost. Bringing it in to your awareness is the first step.

December 2008 ~ Mars gets together with the Sun and Pluto in Capricorn pushing your buttons on who you are and what you want, along with Pluto's purifying principle. So if you did not do the work earlier, things intensified here. I ask you, over the last year, how have the things you want for your Being, your life, career & contribution, family & community all shifted? Are things you used to deeply believe changed dramatically? I am finding in my own life and in my dealings with other people that most people's ideas and concepts of who they are and where they would be by this time in their lives have all changed in ways they could've never predicted. It's all good. (I know - it doesn't always *feel* good - but TRUST SPIRIT!)

I remind you of the cycles of ... Initiation ~ Test ~ Integration ~ Test ~ Completion/Initiation. AND I remind you that in Virgo/Pisces, you are definitely working the half-way/completion modes of your life and Being where Mars (what you want) and Saturn (your reality and foundation/structure) are concerned.

April 2009 ~ Mars now joins Uranus in Pisces (and opposes Saturn in Virgo) causing change, ready or not, here it comes. No less anger or frustration with the process or the aspects of your Being or life being illuminated which you have relegated to the dark corners of your mind and dropped the veil of illusion telling your Self all is .... (fill in the blank - your delusion of choice). Breathe.

My recommendation for this time is stillness first and foremost. The truth is you still have a year to pull it together and maximize the benefits of these three planets getting together. Mars, Saturn and Uranus. Pure desires. Inner authority. Authentic freedom and liberation from the past. Virgo/Pisces ~ purity and bliss ~ physical/spiritual integration and mastery ~ trust and discernment. Are these not worth the effort and investment of time and energy to clarify your intentions to the Universe? You are so beautifully supported for a HEALING above all else where these energies and entities are concerned. You can heal the Mars part of your Being so that you are loving what you do and doing what you love ~ being a Spiritual Warrior ~ leading the way with passion! You can heal the Saturn part of your Being so that you are truly the author of your own life story, responsible for all that you are and all that you create and share in the world, making your contribution so that the world is slightly better than the day before. You can heal the Uranus part of your Being that MUST BE FREE ~ that aspect of your Soul which cannot be caged or contained ~ that aspect that KNOWS there is more to the very essence of your existence and truly, deeply believes in the Oneness of the Infinite Universe.
